Very great place to stay when you are away from home! I loved the area it was in even though we were mostly traveling throughout the day. It had the amenities that we needed for our family. I also enjoyed the personal touch of the owners letting us know areas to check out. Thank you we would stay again for sure!

Very relaxing weekend. Cabin is super cute with all the modern amenities of home. The only thing we wished had been different was the access to the water for fishing. There’s really no safe way to get down there. Minor issue…we would stay here again.

Clean (exceptionally pristine!) , cute & cozy cabin with sunset views over the river/"lake." Well stocked kitchen. The bed/bedding was the best part! Soft & snuggly sheets and the pillows & mattress were perfectly plump and probably the best I have ever slept on! I am so picky about the quality of beds when renting, but this place was top tier! I would book again and definitely recommend to others.

The cabin was very clean and well stocked. It even had coffee which we appreciated. After a long drive, we did not want to go to a grocery store to get morning coffee!Doug is a very responsive host. He answered us quickly before we came and while we were there.We had a great experience and would go back.

Wildlife and Comfort

Our stay at Kingfisher Cabin was great! The cabin itself was clean and comfortable, and the Wi-Fi worked well. It was a bit surprising to see the river so low – I remember seeing the news about the Midland flooding a few years ago and didn't realize the extent of the impact. While the riverbed being exposed was unexpected, the view was still nice, and we really enjoyed watching the local wildlife. The bedrooms were a little chilly, but it wasn't a big issue. The location was fantastic, with easy access to Midland and lots of other great places to explore in the area. We would definitely stay here again!

Great stay!

Very clean and cute decor. Stayed for 2 nights as had a medical procedure at the hospital. Very easy access to freeway. Doug and Kim really take it to the next level with all the thoughtful extras. Very nice property!

Beautiful Cabin

We really enjoyed our stay! The cabin has nice beds, towels, dishes. And if you have a pet it’s very peaceful. Its location is convenient, very close to the highway. The only thing we noticed was that the AC doesn't reach the far bedroom, but we picked up a fan and that worked pretty good. We also happened to be there on a very hot humid weekend. There are beautiful views from the kitchen and living room. The cleanliness is terrific very clean!

Nicely Appointed and Clean

We were staying here visiting our son and celebrating our anniversary. This is a nice little cabin. It was extremely clean and several small touches that were very pleasing. The decor is very cute. We had everything we needed plus some. If you are staying in this area definitely check this listing out. You will not be disappointed.

Great place to work from

Had some business in Midland and this place was perfect. Their attention to detail was impeccable, from large towels to lovely candles for a fireplace. Their place made our work like a little getaway.
