Compared to the photos I'm seeing, I believe my room was recently updated. Heck, even the new wood furniture smell still lingered in the room (in a good way). Everything was clean, comfortable, and spacious. Bed & pillows were a nice balance between soft and supportive. No wonder I love staying in Residence Inns when the price is right. Only teeny tiny minor gripe is that I wish the bathroom lighting wasn't so weird. There was a nightlight I believe that was bright enough to be distracting if the door was left open. The motion sensor smoke detector above the bed was kinda creepy too, but again, I'm just being petty. Breakfast here was actually one of the better ones on our road trip. Eggs didn't obviously taste like the powdered kind, and breakfast options were enough, though some of the milk had expired the previous day. Really like the decor in the lobby as well as the room. Check in & out was fast and friendly.

Great Hotel next to lots of shopping and restaurants. Hotel is in a nice area with lots of parking. Rooms are nice and big with full kitchens. Beds are very comfortable. Rooms smell nice and fresh. Air conditioning works excellent and is quiet. Hotel is super clean. Staff are all very nice and helpful.

Rooms are big with a mini kitchen. Very friendly and helpful staff. Coffee/ hotwater for tea is available almost 24hrs in the lounge area. Decent breakfast with more or less the same menu everyday. There's a spacious gym that is available for use 24 hrs. Also there's a indoor pool. Nice location, very close to Walmart, Aldi, Meyers, Midland Mall and the Cinema. Also good restaurants/ take-outs close by.

Great spot! Friendly staff!!! Spacious rooms, small bar in lobby, good restaurant in walking distance & nice breakfast. Stayed for 1 night for lacrosse tournament-perfect atmosphere for adults & kids. Nice pool, basketball court, fire pit. Wished we had stayed another night after a long day of games.

We stay here once or twice a year for a getaway weekend. We had the two bedroom suite this time. Room is nice and big. The cleanliness of this hotel is what keeps us coming back. The pool and hot are nice and well kept. The breakfast is wonderful and kept stocked. The pool table and games are a great bonus. This time we encountered a large crowd in the pool ages newborn to adult. This typically wouldn’t be an issue. However the adults were not watching the children. Adults in the hot tub and children u attended in the pool. Some of the children would not stop harassing my daughter (10) and backing her into the corner of the pool. After about thirty minutes one of the adults finally did yell at the children. At one point there was 17 adults and children stuffed into the hot tub. It’s sizes for many 7-8 people. The water was overflowing. All 17 people belonged to one room. Yes one room. Most were not staying the night (we could hear their loud conversations). But they completely took over the pool area with unruly children. This was allowed to happen because they were family and/or friends with one of the hotels female staff members. Certainly not what I expect from a Marriott or this location but we will likely give this location another try to redeem the Marriott name after our last trip there. Overall a nice hotel...Unless staff members allow their family and friends to take it over.

We always enjoy this residence inn for it's rooms and staff but normally avoid the breakfast. Quite a while back we stayed there and complained about sausage floating in water. I figured they'd fixed that but returning we decided to try the breakfast again and encountered good eggs, a vegetable patty??? instead of potatoes, and their famous sausage patties floating in 1/2" of water ( GROSS LOOKS AND WORSE TASTE ) At least that gives them some room for improvement.

We stayed here for 1 night the Tuesday before Thanksgiving. My husband, daughter, and in laws were driving up from Cincinnati OH on our way to Boyne Mountain. The hotel was nice and clean. My 2 year old swam in the pool and was in heaven. The staff was friendly as well. This was a nice hotel to take a pit stop for the night.

We stayed their for two nights in a studio. During the week. Book ahead, they fill up these days with Dow business clients. Plenty of room for two people. Had a few very minor maintenance issues that were fixed right away. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast buffet was typical of the class, aand similar to their sister property, a SpringHill Suites hotel (we stayed their as well due to "no rooms at the inn"), except the Residence Inn uses nicer plates and cutlery and staff clears tables - a nice touch. Also has a nicer outdoor area.

Nice hotel. Stayed here in April and in May. Both nice visits. Room size is great. Breakfast is great. Pool area is nicely kept and water temp is good. The outdoor sitting area is wonderful. We enjoyed the patio and pool table. Rooms could be a little cleaner but I just wipe stuff down when we arrive. We will be back to stay at this location again. We’ve always had a great time here.

Brought my daughter and her 2 1/2 year old twins to a family reunion in Midland, Michigan, my home town. The hotel staff was very accommodating. They baby proofed some cabinets for us and the refrigerator. We had wonderful breakfasts. The swimming pool was very enjoyable. We even blew bubbles on the hotel patio. Great times. We had a suite. Wonderful kitchen area too.
