Our room was musty smelling but looked very neat and clean. Our door key would not work . Replaced it twice but still had problems. Other members of our group did not have this problem so I believe it must be the scanner in our door. Very convenient location for us.

After driving 5 hours to attend my only niece's wedding, I arrived at the hotel ready to shower and change for the wedding. I had made my reservation on May 6 and had my pre-paid confirmation in hand. Imagine my shock when the desk clerk could not find my reservation. There was a statewide soccer tournament in town and there were no rooms available anywhere. I spent over an hour trying to resolve the issue, much of the time on my cell phone with a woman in India who kept giving me different numbers to "try". None of which worked.There were no rooms available anywhere in town due to a soccer tournament. The desk clerk was patient and helpful despite the fact she'd never heard of The desk clerk, not, finally found me a room at a resort in another town--more costly, and no time to get there and to the wedding on time, but at least I'd have a place to sleep. Long story short, I arrived at the wedding an hour late in my travel clothes and completely missed the ceremony! I will never use again.

Quality Inn just hosted our hockey team last weekend and overall it was a VERY good experience. I had great luck working with Stephanie to set up the team and parent reservations. She also offered great advice on local restaurants. The management and staff on site was also very accommodating to let us host our team dinner in their breakfast room and even held the breakfast open longer in the morning to accommodate our team schedule. Overall, very positive and we will be back next year.

We had a reservation for the Fairfield Inn by Marriott, but found out it had been bought out two weeks before we arrived by Quality Inn. We drove around trying to find the Fairfield Inn and finally went into the Quality Inn to check with them about it. The (day manager?) was very rude when informing me that the Fairfield Inn had been bought out and we did not have a reservation to stay there. I showed him our reservation sheet, so he finally looked in the records for the Fairfield Inn and grudgingly agreed we did have a reservation with the Fairfield Inn. He was rude, arrogant and snotty the whole time I dealt with him. I informed him I had my Service Dog with me and tried to make me pay $25.00 for having a Service Dog. I refused and he threateningly demanded that I prove she was a Service Dog. I showed him her identification and he grudgingly, accepted that she was indeed a Service Dog. He was not happy that I was able to prove him wrong. Then, he booked us a room and when I went upstairs to open the door for my husband, the keys didn't work. I had to go back downstairs and tell him the keys didn't work. He issued new keys, said he was going to make sure they worked, then climbed the three flights of stairs to show off that he would get there before the elevator. He was arrogantly standing in front of the door waiting for me when I got to the third floor. He proved to me that the keys worked, then raced down the hall to get on the elevator. I opened the door to go inside and the room was a mess. There was dirty laundry piled in front of the door, all the drawers were pulled out and there was trash in all the baskets. I went back downstairs to tell the front desk what I found and (the day manager) was rushing our the door when I got there. I told the other guy at the front desk what I had found and he said,"That can't be, that room was cleaned." When he looked at the maids cleaning roster, he found the room had not been signed off. So he put us in the room across the hall. The morning we left, I found out they had charged us an extra $25.00 for our second day. I found that highly suspicious after what that manager tried to pull when we checked in, but I couldn't prove it. But it was awfully suspicious when I turned to leave he came out to the lobby, gave me a dirty,"I got you anyway and you don't know it" grin and sneeringly said "Have a nice day" I could tell from the way he acted he knew he had gotten away with charging us that extra $25.00. We were very disappointed with the way we were treated at this hotel. The (manager) was mean, rude, arrogant, a snob and a showoff. If this is how you treat your guests, we'll go elsewhere from now on.

The Fairfield Inn is now a Quality Inn as of 7/22/2018. My only complaint is that while there are enough power outlets in the guest rooms, they aren’t in convenient spots. (We were in room 218.) By the desk, near the floor, there were three unused outlets, but one had an oversized plug next to it, so only two were usable. One side of the bed has no empty outlets, and the other has two. All desk and bedside lamps ought to have an outlet in their base (only one does). Breakfast is good; they have a waffle iron so you can have fresh, hot waffles. They tend to have eggs and a breakfast meat, and sometimes cheese omelets. They have hot oatmeal, but I didn’t try it. Lots of cold goodies as well. Our room was average size, but came with a mini-fridge and microwave oven, neither of which we used. Staff was always friendly and helpful.

We go every summer to my moms in Traverse ciry from Columbus about 7.5 hour drive We decided to stop about halfway this year and decided to stay in Bay City A nice city and this hotel is next to all. A little development area of cool restaurants, bar , ice cream place and more The hotel is like new and nice good rate

My husband and I and our two dogs stayed here recently when my husband was scheduled for knee replacement surgery at Bay City McLaren Hospital. It was a stressful time, to say the least, and this hotel was like an oasis as we underwent surgery in an away from home locale. 1. Cleanliness: Immaculate room and public areas. The cleaning staff were very accommodating also, given my frequent trips to the hospital and the necessity that our dogs remain undisturbed. We had a large room with a sitting area that allowed ample space for comfort. In-room amenities were very helpful. 2. Front Desk Staff: I can’t remember being at any hotel, including some very fine 5-star hotels where the front desk staff were more helpful and friendly. They stored frozen food for us, gave us recommendations about local dining, made suggestions, drew directions, offered help after my husband’s surgery and greeted us warmly and sincerely. They were so kind. One staff member even helped us try to locate a missing set of car keys by searching the parking lot. I felt like they were friends by the time we checked out! 3. Location. Very convenient location, close to I-75, shopping, restaurants and downtown. Yet, very quiet and restful. 4. Pet friendly. Thank you, thank you, for taking small pets. Our dogs are our family also. Thanks for making them feel welcome too! 5. Awesome breakfast. Great variety of hot and cold items. Wonderful and so convenient. Snacks were available all day long also. Yogurt, milk, juice, fruit, etc.,. Great hospitality, Highly, highly recommend!

We stayed at this hotel as we were using our Marriot points...very disappointed in the cleanliness of this for a Marriot affiliated hotel. Shame on you Marriot! But I will say the person working the desk was delightful.

Todd at the front desk went out of his way to make sure we had a great breakfast before our early tournament start. Rooms were clean and had a great nights sleep. Big "Thank you" to the Fairfield Inn by Marriott, with the help of your staff I was able to cash a check from the Cabela's NWT Tournament!

I had not stayed at this hotel for several years due to competition in downtown Bay City. But a recent family funeral and lack of rooms caused me to again consider the Fairfield. I was pleasantly surprised when I made my reservation and upon check-in. "Barb" took my telephone reservation promptly and respectfully, And with the help of Barb's General Manager, Stephanie Maxwell,I was not price gouged for making a last minute reservation. While staying at the hotel, I goofed and missed the breakfast bar closing time by just a few minutes. But Carol Dinsmoore took the time to accomodate me without incident. A Jessica Yorch made my checkout process smooth as well. Good rate! Good service everyone!
