This is a nice hotel within walking distance from downtown. Rooms are spacious (separate bedroom and living area) and staff was very friendly. I can definitely recommend this place.

Very friendly service, including at breakfast. Manager’s reception with free drink was well attended each of the two nights we were there. Room spoless. Very dog friendly. There’s access to a natural area going down to the creek at the end of the hotel which was nice for walks with our dog.

Older hotel, rooms have been redone but still show some wear. Grounds are nice, as is lobby. Had free hot chocolate packets for kids in lobby with hot cocoa, marshmallows. Great walkability to downtown SLO. Nice pool and spa area, always empty when we were there.

There was a fake eyelash on a couch cushion and several long black hairs wound into the bath towels. Also the breakfast has been largely down graded since the last time we stayed.

The Quality Suites was not what we expected. Im not sure why other people rated it as excellent. I would just give it an average rating of 3 stars. The bathroom sink was located outside of the bathroom, meaning in the bedroom which is weird. The room was just like staying at an average Inn or hotel and it looked smaller than the picture. Breakfast was just average. Not sure why people rated it very high. We normally stay at the Apple Farn Inn which is by far the best hotel in SLO. We chose the Quality Suites just to give it a try only to our disappointment. Will not stay there again.
