Swanky little boutique spot in great location. Rooms super small but nice. Avoid rooms that face back parking lot as am garbage traffic noise is excessive.

The whole place was unique. It had great amenities and was close to food and shopping.
The Granada is THE spot to stay in downtown San Luis Obispo. It's within walking distance of the downtown bars, restaurants, and shopping. Courtesy bikes are offered to guests to ride around town. We rode our bikes to several wineries (WARNING: bike ride may be more difficult than you think). The hotel rooms are a bit on the smaller side, but they are absolutely stunning and cozy. The restaurant at Granada is also wonderful (trust me, you will want to try The Granada meat and cheese plate).
Charming hotel. Rooms were clean and well laid out. We appreciated the onsite parking and outdoor seating at the bistro. Food was very tasty.
Checked in with a unhelpful or friendly young man at the front desk. He informed us that we had to park a block away and walk back with our bags. The reception area had about 25 flys buzzing around, it was horrible. The room was old and tired, again it had many flys flying around and we even found a large green bug about 2 inches long. We went down to reception to complain, no one was there. So we went out and came back, no one was there, even upon check out on one was at reception. The guest room we had looked over a bank parking lot, the shower stall is in the corner of the bedroom, this was a highly disappointing stay.
I had stayed in one of the smaller rooms before, and thought the hotel was wonderful. This time I got one of the large rooms overlooking the street, and it was absolutely phenomenal. A lovely place to just hang out. Three of us watched home movies much of the afternoon and went down for appetizers and a glass of wine late afternoon before dinner. What a delightful hotel!
