Check in was super easy so was check out (didn’t even have to interact to check out just a key drop.) The room was really nice almost set up like a mini apartment more than the average hotel room. The private beach was right at the end of building easy access and nice to spend a few minutes in the sun taking in the view I caught the sunset and sunrise on the little beach both were beautiful for such an affordable room price. My only complaint was the bed felt obnoxiously high I’m about 5’2 and it was past my hips standing beside it I had to get a bit of run jump to get in it

I could see a beach I thought I could go onto, I checked out the property and the Room before paying, it wasnt mentioned that I couldnt sit bye or walk on the beach, there was a hidden sign that read beach closed then I realized why an orange tractor was parked before the beach started, I also noticed empty barrels. I couldnt breathe in my Room later that day and had to leave and sleep somewhere else.

I remembered Benny Hill Splendid Hôtel sketch

I have traveled Canada, USA, France, Spain, Italy, Germany, etc...this Golden Gate Lodging in Plattsburgh NY is the worst Room I have Seen: Advertising picture shows a very Little part of the Room....tv don't work...router hangs beside tv...Heater Works but stops after 15 min... Windows dirty...cabinets must be 50 y o....only one chair to seat...no desk...no phone to contact réception...nothing to hang our clothes...you must hold toilet papier roll...bedsheets are cheap ..+++...Stairs are littered with food...
