Served the purpose

After reading reviews that were equally divided between excellent and horrible, I was apprehensive when we arrived. However, our room was perfectly fine. It was clean, comfortable, and fit the needs of our family for one night. It was a little off-putting to have an a/c unit just hanging out, but it did keep the room nice and cool. Also, the lights above the door turned on by themselves a couple of times, so that was weird, and then the bathroom light turned off while I was in the shower. Strange, but honestly not a deal-breaker. We had no issues with parking or safety. I don't understand why we had to pay for parking, though. Shouldn't that be included as a guest..? Again, it was fine for the single night of our stay.

We stayed 2 nights. It was one of the more affordable places, considering it was fashion week in New York City. I loved that it was close to the subway, but it served its purpose for what we needed it be. The rooms were clean. I do wish there were chairs on the balcony. The room is a little dated, but other than that everything was clean, which I think is more important.

A Hotel Monet - LIC

I don't remember the last time I've asked to be moved to another room but this was one of those times. The phones were missing buttons, the elevator was out of order, my shower didn't drain, all the towels smelled of bleach, it was not a good experience. After standing in my shower water, I went down and asked for something to be done and they quickly moved me to a better room on the 12th floor with a view of the city. The windows were very dirty, can't enjoy the city view....b/c you can't see it. I highly recommend not staying here. The Modernist is around the corner and they're much better!!

Very well connected to the city and to the US Open. Found some good food around. Staff were really nice and we had everything we needed. Only issue was the toilet made a loud sound when you flushed it.
