Full disclosure: After Hurricane Katrina in 2005, I spent six months living out of an Embassy Suites in Dallas. In the middle of so much uncertainty, that hotel gave me a sense of stability and comfort—and ever since, I’ve had a soft spot in my heart for Embassy Suites. So staying at the Embassy Suites by Hilton New Orleans during the Memorial Day weekend of 2025 felt like coming full circle, and I’m happy to say it did not disappoint. The location is perfect—just a short walk to the Convention Center and close to the Cruise Terminal, the WWII Museum, and all the energy of the French Quarter. The rooms were spacious and clean, and the staff was genuinely welcoming. The made-to-order breakfast each morning and the evening reception added a special touch that made the stay feel more personal than transactional. If you’re looking for a place that offers comfort, convenience, and a little bit of that “home away from home” feeling, this is it.

Don't book a room with them because steal money

I called the day before I was scheduled to come and asked for a refund because my surgery was cancelled and I didn't need to drive three hours and keep the Room I booked I was passed back and forth From Embassy suites Hilton To hotel. Com where I booked the room neither one help me cancel the room or give me a refund and I called the manger at Embassy suite and was told he was busy because he was dealing with a death that happen at the hotel And now they want me to rate my stay there knowing I cancelled my booking and never came there and they stoled my money and didn't refund it

Rip Off! - Gives Your Room Away!

I paid for my stay several months in advance. This was for my honeymoon and we carefully considerd the options. I paid for a high floor 1 bedroom king suite with balcony. They gave all of those rooms away and put me in a queen room, no balcony. Upon complaining, being put on hold for an hour while out in the city then walking 3 miles back to the hotel when no one came back to the phone, I was moved to a room that still wasnt what I paid for. Im not a demanding person, all I wanted was what I paid for, or at least be refunded the difference in price between the rooms. If I cancelled, I would have forfeited the complete cost of the stay. I found out they would close the pool (one reason we chose them) during our stay dates but I got over that because there was nothing i could do. Instead, they got full price from me, and resold my room. No one responded to my concern until I went thru the Hilton app and they are only offering Hilton dollars that equate 50 dollars at their hotels. Not the cost of what I lost in the room switch, or enough to cover 1 night in the future at another location. I will certainly never stay there again and they have a poor reputation with the locals when they asked where I stayed. I've stayed in all kinds of places and price points and this is seriously the only time I have ever been treated so poorly.

Ive stayed at this property numerous times as im in the area quite often. This last time i saw a charge on my card for $55. When i called to question it they said it was for valet parking. I never use valet parking i always park at a garage 3 blocks away. After numerous phone calls and emails still no refund. Check your statements to make sure you do not get charged for anything you did not authorize!!!

I have always love to stay at the Embassy Hotel. Mason was very professional and nice when checking. Aarron when checking out was very nice and sweet. Mason checking on me thru out my stay and I just loved it. The little short dark hair bartender was very kind and served good drinks. Can't remember her name.

The room was spacious and pretty clean. The breakfast was delicious, with lot's of options and an omelet station, where the chefs will make you a custom omelet or other eggs of your choosing. Upon check in guests receive vouchers for free drinks at the daily mixer, which is between 5:30 and 7 pm in the lobby bar. It's a great way to meet people and find out about the area from other visitors. They also have snacks such as chips and salsa, crackers and cheese, fruits and veggies etc. Hotel staff were very friendly and very helpful. They assisted in mailing out a package so that I didn't have to spend an hour and a half going to and from the nearest post office. The local post office was out of service. The hotel is conveniently located a relatively short walk to Canal Street and other areas of interest, or you can hop on a bus or trolly to get around. You can get a 24 hour public transport pass for $3. They also have weekly and monthly passes available. A one way trip is $1.25 without the pass, so just spend the extra $0.50. We were only in New Orleans for two nights, but plan to return and plan to stay at the Embassy Suites when we do.
