Hotel Zócalo Central
2/5 Poor
"We were first given room 116. That room’s window is to the inside of the hotel, to a little seated area. There is a couch right outside where there were people waiting. There was absolutely no privacy and we could not keep the shades open for some sunlight. It felt like a dungeon. The pictures on Expedia do not mention this possibility, this room and 117 are horrendous and should not be given to anyone unless they are well aware of what they are getting and given a massive discount. Not only this, but all night long we could hear what I assume are the water pipes for the hotel which sounded like loud knocking. This was a terrible first night for our anniversary trip. We were able to switch rooms for the other two night but honestly, the whole thing had soured our trip a bit. The hotel food was alright, although quite expensive at the Cafe. The views were amazing though, and worth it for a drink. Hotel localization is great and we never felt unsafe."
