Room was definitely neglected and it was lack of staff. I got to the room and it definitely was not cleaned. Looks like only the towels and toilet were clean and they probably vacuumed. The sink was not clean along with the tub, dresser, inside and outside the fridge. The couch had a stain on it and I had to switch the entire bed sheets out. The remote was filthy as well. If it wasn’t for my son’s birthday, I would have checked out. He wanted to go to the waterpark. I lifted the mattress to check for possible bed bugs. Thank God at least in my room it wasn’t. The mattress looked new. That the second reason why I stay. If it was then immediately I would have checked out. Luckily, I always keep cleaning supplies with me when I travel. I went up to the front desk got all new sheets. Cleaned the entire room and bathroom. I was on my hands and knees cleaning that tub. Again had it not been for my son’s birthday along with us being from out of town, I would NOT been doing that. There was only one hanger in the room so I had to hang both our jackets on one. I did not realize until later on at night. When it came to putting the top lock on the door that it was broke. I literally had to put the ironing board under the door handle at night just to feel somewhat safe. I told the staff at the front all the things, mind you we’ve only been there now at this time for about 7-8hours. She did offer me another room but I was not about to clean another room, change sheets etc all over again.
