This is our 3rd stay at this hotel. We've taken trips to Detroit and have stayed here 3 times. Rooms are clean and staff is very nice. I like the mi My only piece of advise is they need to have some type of protein in their breakfast for diabetics. They had sugar free syrup for the waffles which is great. Would definitely stay with them again.
Stayed here for four days the place was clean. The staff was friendly. They have made some updates nice tv and beds. There is microwave and refrigerator in the room. Pool area is nice but the hot tub clearly has not been working for quite some time. The elevator is extremely slow and the buttons shut off all the time so if you don't pay attention you could be standing there for a while. Breakfast will fill you up but definitely nothing special and the coffee is awful. I didn't mind the place because it was clean but they are clearly on slippery slope of becoming a crappy hotel if they don't start fixing and updating a few things. All in all if I need a room in the area I would stay again but not my first choice of places to stay.
It was a weekend stay and just a place for sleeping. We had a suite facing the golf course towards the back which was nice, instead of facing the Taco Bell and Gas station in front. Room was Clean and AC worked great. I tried to open the window because they get a great wind breeze but there was no screen so I did not want any critters flying in so that was a bust. Staff was very friendly and greeted us upon arrival. Checked us in and had us at our room within 5 min of getting there. You can tell it's an older hotel because there's patching jobs on walls and stains that shouldn't be there but like my title states, we only used it to sleep at. I paid for the Jacuzzi suite upgrade and was disappointed when I seen it in person, not worth it. Breakfast was small and enough to get us to lunch time. Pool was ok except the door would not let us in. Luckly another group was in there and let us in. Jacuzzi Was broken and out of service and that was a bummer. King beds are a little on the firm side but wasn't to bad waking up in the A.M. If your looking for a place to just crash for the night then this is the spot! But to stay at all day, No, look else where.
After a long drive and having another hotel in the area totally screw up our reservation, my husband called this hotel to see if they could accommodate our family of 5, one of our children has a disability and uses a wheelchair. He called the number that showed up via an internet search. They had a room and an elevator, awesome! We get there to check in (seriously, less than 5 minutes between when the reservation was made and check in) and I was told they have no running water and don't know when they will!!! Better yet, they couldn't cancel the reservation because it was made through the 800 number! The 800 number refused to cancel it because we had just made it!!!! We're going to dispute this charge with our credit card company!
I read a lot of reviews and what did they expect? It's very clean and comfortable. It is a bit run down but it's in Monroe. There's not a lot to draw customers. Not a bad stay if you're on the cheap. I have to say more so it has an indoor pool.
This was the worst hotel experience EVER. Just to name a few problems. There were bugs coming out of our A.C. Unit. Our key card stop working on numerous occasions. Which ment me going downstairs, getting the card fix just to have it go out again. Last but definitely not least. Our toilet was clogged. Called the desk. She came with a plunger and handed it to me. I told her, "you want me to fix it." She said she wasn't the one who clogged it. I told her I didn't clog it either. The whole experience was terrible. I won't even mention the other people problems that was with us. STAY AWAY!!!!! You been warned
We stayed here for 3 nights on a business trip. We had a good experience. Room was clean & comfortable. Prices were affordable. Staff was pleasant. We stayed on the 3rd floor and it was quiet. Would recommend.
This is a very clean and comfortable hotel, with a large lobby and breakfast area. It used to be a Comfort Inn, and you can tell! We were greeted warmly upon arrival and were checked in promptly. The room was large and well appointed. Our room was at the back and overlooked a golf course, but there are train tracks that are very close, and loud. I wasn't aware of this or I may have taken a front facing room. Towards evening we kept hearing yelling outside and couldn't figure out where it was coming from. I finally spotted 2 guys on the roof and assumed that they were maintenance. When it didn't stop, I looked out later and saw them drinking beer, I knew they probably weren't supposed to be there. Another girl had joined them by this time. My husband reported this to the front desk clerk, who was horrified. She immediately notified the Sheriff's department. She asked if she could come up and look out our window to see if she could tell who they were, or where their room was located. Of course by the time she arrived they must have climbed back in their window. She thought she knew who it might be from checking them in. Other than that our stay was very good. Breakfast the next morning had plenty of choices, but the front desk clerk spent the entire time on her phone. Many items ran out, and weren't replaced until we were ready to leave. Even then she remained on her phone while she was in and out of the breakfast room. This is a good hotel and excellent value. We would definitely return in the future.
After a long day of work and a planned very early start to the next day, we were sound asleep when we were awoken at 2 am by a persistent knocking at our door. When my boyfriend opened the door, he was rudely asked, "Are you smoking in here?" he replied "we are sleeping' and shut the door. In the morning when we asked about it, we were told someone called and said they smelled smoke and they though it was from our room. Our room was completely dark and quiet, no smoke coming out under the door, why would our room be suspected? we were a few doors down from the outside smoking area, perhaps that? there was a loud party in our hall way, perhaps them? there was absolutely no justification to be rudely awoken just because someone smelled smoke and said "maybe room 125" I understand there is a no smoking policy and had they knocked on every door perhaps I could see their concern for the hotel ( we still would have been waken up) but to single out our room based on nothing was ridiculous and cost us some much needed sleep as after we were woken up , all we could hear was the party. We have stayed at many econologes before as we travel often for work but this has us reconsidering our next hotel choices
This hotel was great. Angie was at the counter to check us in. Upon telling her of our last experience at a previous hotel (theft of items and being lied to by staff) and explaining to her this was not the way I wanted to celebrate my birthday she immediately told me she was going to make my birthday happy again and upgraded me to a jacuzzi king room, Room 225. I was so happy. She had restored my faith in the hotel industry. That being said, check in was quick, our room was very clean, our jacuzzi tub was very clean as well. Bed was comfortable, had enough pillows, the heater worked great and the fridge was cold. The room came with a microwave and a coffee maker with GOOD coffee. The pool was clean and a great temperature. Unfortunately the hot tub is under repair for the other guests. The jacuzzi tub worked very well and was the perfect way to end a day of stress. Breakfast was your typical continental breakfast. Bagels, waffles, toast, fruit, yogurt, milk, cereal, oatmeal, biscuits and gravy, jam, peanut butter, cream cheese and of course juice and coffee. Check out was quick and professional. Angie is one of the few people that you can tell likes her job. She treats all the guests with respect and offers a friendly smile to all. Great job. This location is in an area where you have to drive about 5 minutes before hitting pretty much anything you need from restaurants, gas, supermarket or shopping. I will be coming back to this hotel next time I am in that area. Thank you for turning around my horrible hotel experience and turning into the fun day it should have been. Thank you.
