The staff was helpful but I didn't appreciate that this is listed as a boutique hotel and the name of the location is the Dakota Inn. I found this confusing. I've also stayed at boutique hotels previously and don't consider this one. Very convenient for eating at the Homesteaders which was delicious and reasonably priced with large portions.

One of the most disgusting hotels I’ve ever been in. Rooms were dirty, entire place smells bad, I didn’t dare eat anything offered with their breakfast. Place needs a major overhaul. The room looked nothing like the advertisement. Even the name was wrong, the sign says Dakota inn.

There was no sink in the bathroom. there was one in the bedroom but it stuck out almost to the bed so you had to stand along the side to wash your hands and face. There was no working alarm and the phone did not work. The remote for the TV was very hard to use. The beds were comfortable and the best part of the room. The breakfast was a total Joke! It was basically a make your own waffle with no other choices. There was only enough batter for a half waffle and when we complained the staff found enough so we could make a whole one. There was just over one cup of coffee and the staff added water to brew more but did not have any coffee grounds so they just ran it through the previously used grounds so that turned out as lightly colored water. Terrible. I would never stay there again!

This hotel was awful. We booked a king and when we checked it were given a room with 2 doubles. That room was disgusting. The sink was dirty, the room was musty. It was super gross. Then we were given a room with a king and the whole room was covered in drywall dust. The bathtub was a mess. But by that time it was so late that we sucked it up as we were so tired. That said, the pillows were horrible. It was like sleeping without pillows at all. Then when we went down in the morning for the “continental breakfast” all they had was Cheerios with no milk and a few slices of white bread. No coffee, no eggs no nothing. And this was at about 8:30 am. We were booked for two nights but only stayed for one because we had to get the hell outta there. Will never stay there again. Barf.

The staff here are trying their best to keep up with things. The small town not having enough workforce to be able to fully staff a team of housekeepers is known, and the ones that are here are putting in work to try and keep things running.

It was very sketch. Walked into the shabby lobby to an over whelming smell of pot. Got a key, went to the room. Red for the door. Didn’t work. Went back, got a new room, was told I may have troubles. It was green but I had to give the door quite a push. Window was open, no screen. Garbage was left in the cupboard, no towels. In the elevator a gentleman told me he was locked out of his room and slept in his car! Next day went to check out breakfast. That was fun. Coffee looked like tea, guy made a new pot but no cream to be found. 2 slices of white bread and 2 pop tarts, some questionable looking Cheerios . I felt like we were on a bad survivor show! lol Good point: bed was clean and smelled fresh. It was comfortable. Shower was decent.

Rooms was newly remodeled.Bed was comfortable, pillows were very soft. Sink, toilet and shower were not wiped down. Told the receptionist. We went out and when we came back it was taken care of. Very little breakfast but for a room under $60 I'm surprised they offer anything. A coffee maker in the room would've been nice. Staff was nice and helpful. If u r looking for a cheap place just to sleep this works fine.
