2/10 Terrible

The hotel needs a complete remodel. It seems like they are working on it, but the property still feels very poorly maintained. I’ve always stayed at Hyatt because I’m a rewards member, and this is the least maintained Hyatt I’ve ever visited.
The staff member I met during check-in was extremely rude. Maybe she was having a bad day, but her behavior didn’t seem right.
After I checked in, I went back down to the front desk to ask if they could change my room to one with a better bathroom. As soon as I got out of the elevator, I saw her sweeping the floor and I said, “Excuse me.” She immediately jumped up and looked startled. Everyone in the hallway seemed surprised. I asked her what was wrong, and she replied that she didn’t know someone was there. I told her this is a hotel with many guests—what kind of response is that?
Anyway, I asked to change my room. She told me to go back, update my room details, and bring my luggage back down to the front desk before she would give me another room. I was shocked by how mean she was afterward. I went upstairs, brought all my bags back downstairs, and when she finally gave me another room, it was also terrible. The room was not clean, and there were old towels in the bathroom. I had to go to the store to buy a towel and a bedsheet. At that point, I just wanted to stop dealing with it and ignore everything.
