The room phone did not work, discovered it was unplugged, when plugged in all it would do was give busy signal. room next to mine was playing music loudly and yelling / tossing things around. I tried to contact the front desk to address this but had the previously mentioned phone issues. used my cell to call the front desk and got a recording to leave a message (no one on duty at the time) and they would return the call which they did not. the noise next door went from 11pm to approx. 1am, I was not about to confront them since they were obviously drunk and or tweaking based on the yelling etc. afraid I cannot recommend this establishment based on "security issues"

The place was clean and the staff was friendly. We were warmly greeted by Ricky at the front desk. The bathroom was freezing and the window and heating unit needed to be sealed and caulked to keep the cold air out.

Yes & yes. You received a non smile face & three stars because some minor issues bothered me. I asked they not clean the room & they did. I asked for late check out, they agreed but then the FOB didn’t work. The cleaning crew room was next door & the cleaners were talking loudly. There was a woman (blonde hair, early 30s) who appeared to the “head person” & I voiced these issues to her. She was VERY pleasant & professional & I believe future customers will not have redundant problems. I’m not racist in any way shape or form & did not state this to “head person” because others were present, but there were multiple times (asking questions on local food / convenience store / etc) when talking to the front desk attendants it was clear there was a language barrier. Please take this criticism of front desk as a polite way of saying simple questions about surrounding area took extra effort & I ended looking things up myself. The staff attempted, was professional but things like this are frustrating.

The rooms are very basic, and our room only had a small window (and one in bathroom) so it was kinda dark. About what I expected for the price. Good location to the WWI Museum at the top of the hill in the park.
