Great view, good location. Other than that the hotel has an odor of mold or must. Sewer smell on the first floor. Only thing that was good was the breakfast every morning on the 21st floor and the staff up there was friendly. The check in staff was just overwhelmed and stressed with weather and I get it. Had no power the first day, elevators were down. Nowhere to dine. Trying to be mindful that my trip isn’t as important as people who lost their homes and property to this storm. And Orbitz trip insurance doesn’t cover weather related issues with the property….

Hit with that $56 resort fee and $60 a day parking. Literally cost more to park than my rental. When you message to have your car ready you get the response that they are to busy. It almost doubled the price of my stay.

My wife and I enjoyed a week's stay at the Twin Fin the first week of November. What a wonderful resort! Clean, safe, quiet, and the great Tiki's Restaurant and Bar onsite. It's a quick walk across the street to the beach, and credits at Beach Candy allow you to "rent" free beach chairs or other gear. Twin Fin is exceptionally walkable to restaurants, shopping and attractions like the zoo and aquarium. We will definitely be going back!

I would not recommend this hotel, especially for families traveling with young children. I arrived at 1:00 a.m., traveling alone with my 5-year-old daughter and carrying two suitcases. The front desk staff member did not offer any assistance or even acknowledge the difficulty of the situation. The next day, my daughter went swimming. When I asked for a towel, I was told housekeeping would bring more within 30 minutes. We waited over three hours, and no towels were ever delivered. My daughter became cold and uncomfortable and had to walk back to our room without a towel. I also personally requested housekeeping service. Although someone came to clean the room, the cleaning was incomplete. Several areas were left untouched, including a visibly soiled mirror. Overall, the lack of basic hospitality, poor communication, and inattentive service made our stay stressful and disappointing. This hotel failed to meet even minimal expectations, and I would not stay here again.

The AC never worked even after 2 attempts to repair it. The repair tech said that the AC needed to be serviced, to fix the problem, but was not. The room was never below 78 degrees, and extremely muggy, for the entire duration of our stay. We were given a fan, but that just moved the hot air around.

Good value for location, view. Hotel itself is very functional, staff very friendly. The carpets and upholstery are a bit stained, bathrooms a bit smelly. A drawer was broken in our dresser. Though you get a balcony to yourself, they are not private. I loved the ocean front view, and leaving our door open to hear the sound of the ocean. The noise from Kalakaua is loud (party busses, street cleaning, motorcycles, etc). Loved that the beach was right there, and being close to Waikiki-adjacent restaurants on Kapahulu. Would stay again.
