The hotel looks fine from the outside, but it seems to be a lower-end property that the company doesn't care about. The bed was fine and the sheets clean, but the floor was dirty, there were long hairs around, and I found a mouse dropping. The tub finish was peeling and the tub was slippery. A security person was knocking on the door next to mine when I arrived at the room, but whatever he was knocking for had apparently died down. The neighborhood appears to be a bit tough.
The room smelled like cigarette smoke and there was actually a glass ashtray in the bathroom. I didn't even think you need to ask about smoking or nonsmoking rooms any more! It was like something from 20 years ago. I didn't use the TV, I so I don't know if that worked.
The staff were very kind, however, the room locked fine, and noise (on a Saturday night) was minimal. Climate control in the room was good. Also, I parked fine in the front of the parking lot, and access is good to CT 9 and I-84. So it wasn't all bad, got the job done, but I wouldn't book there again unless the property was improved.
