Halls were damaged, chunks cut out of the carpets, damages to the walls with half ass patches. The lounge which is why we booked was closed. Dirty dishes all over in the halls. The fire alarm was falsely pulled and went off for over 30 mins. When leaving for fire alarm. The fire exit was blocked by snow. And we were barely able to get out. Informed the front desk and was told umm sorry.

This was not what we have come to expect from this location. The room had a cracked window that had been siliconed and was very cold if the blinds were open. The other window blinds would only go up part way as the beaded cord was missing beads. Light bulbs were mismatched, some bright white others yellowish. We were looking forward to the breakfast that comes with the booking as it is usually excellent. When we checked in we were told the restaurant is closed so breakfast would not be available. There was nothing offered in leu of this. the underground parking was great and a balmy +17c compared to the -24c outside

We were notified that there would be no breakfast or kitchen available at all at check in. Also no strawberries with our massage we booked in the spa because of this. When we got to our room it was nothing liked what I booked. Called the front desk 3 separate times to question the booking as I paid over $200 to stay in a suite and we were in a tiny room with out a jet tub or room to even turn around. After the 3rd call she checked the name on our reservation and she put us in the wrong room because she got the name wrong. I dont know how this happened since she saw my ID and I signed all the paperwork. We then had our massage and got put into the right room. It was nice enough, the jet tub goes crazy so we didnt use them as it was making everything wet around us even the carpet. Our towels were soaked but no where to hang them especiall with the water spitting everywhere. The rooms are definitely not sound proof as someone was working or cleaning right outside our door in the morning. The bathroom fan kept turning on sparatically through the night for abour 15 seconds. It woke us up numerous times. We then had to go elsewhere for breakfast as our breakfast that was included was not availbe and 0 compensation for anything. Overall I wouldnt choose this hotel again. I was booking for a relazing night away with my boyfriend from the kids but it ended being kind of a headache. The surrounding restaurants were excellent though. The Sawmill and Coras for breakfast.

During my stay at the podolan in grande prairie i parked in the underground parking , and someone went into my truck and stole a few items out of it and ramsacked the entire truck , this would have happened in a 20min window from when i was there last , theres a verry good chance that whoever did it was staying at the hotel because you need a code to get in , when i brought it up to the front desk they did absolutely nothing to help they refused to contact the manager who is apparently the only one with access to the video footage and told me to return on monday this incident took place o. Friday night around 10pm , the camera would have given a description of suspect possibly a vehicle and most likely i could have retrieved my belongings but the lack of cooperation from the staff is ridiculous they put in zero effort to help and did not look concerned about me but more so about not wanting to disturb there manager , but hey thats the managers job if no one else is allowed access to the footage and a customer comes to you and says that its an emergency and that they are not taking the matter with the amount of seriousness that they should , i feel like an attempt should have been done to reach out at the very least , after that if the manager cannot be reached its out of there control but the minimum customer service would have been met

Sofa bed was broken, king bed room was so hot while the rest of the hotel room was very cold , bathtub side pannel fell off upon entering the hotel room for the first time, had to check out a night early as it was nicer to head home to our own bed than stay another night.
