Hotel was clean , staff was accommodating and all our needs were met , would recommend for any type of visitor to Grand Prairie .

Excellent experience! I will definitely plan on this being the place I hang my hat in Grand Prairie.

Needed to check in early for a variety of reasons and they were accomodating. Thanks. Ed and Char. :)

Receptionists very nice and helpful. The room was OK. Clean and neat. The trains passing at night (10-15 meters from the window) were driving me crazy with its honking. 2-3 times a night. Want it or not you will wake up. Do not accept the room by the staircase. On the door (to the staircase) it's written that they lock it at 8 pm. Did not happen. Woke up several times during the night, when people were entering or leaving the floor. Despite the above mentioned issues, it is a nice hotel overall.

My first time to visit Grande Prairie. The hotel was located right at the centre of everything. It was located at the walking distance to Shark's club, 7/11, and Panago's pizza. I'd definately go back there again if I visit GP again in future.

Here's a list of the things we had to deal during our one-night stay at the Sandman in GP: - upon arriving, one of our keys did not work, the other took about 20 tries to open up the hotel room door (very frustrating after a long day of travel) - remote control missing - shampoo missing from bathroom - one of the two phones in room not working - a persistent clicking/tapping sound from the heating unit that was quite loud (enough to keep me from falling asleep) - 3 - yes, ***3*** fire alarms that went off from 7pm to 1am (waking us from sleep). There was no staff member on our floor directing us as to whether or not we needed to evacuate or not, and when we went down to the lobby, she was very unapologetic, despite the firefighters noting that it was a faulty sensor (i.e. the responsibility of the hotel!) Overall, it was a pretty miserable stay and no one offered to give us a discount for that stay or our next one. I don't think we'd stay there again.

If you like the night life you have several cool bars close by.

This hotel would have been very high end 5-10 years ago. As it stands now it is very nice, just coming to the point where they need to update.

A weekend getaway from our children
