They have changed their name 3 times, was Palmaroy, then Holloway I believe, now Quality Inn. The one thing that hasn't changed is the staff, always excellent, that is why we returned! We were put in the tower, a little out od the way but okay. Room was huge but bathroom the smallest I have ever seen, 9 square feet (I counted the tiles). Seems like poor design when the room is overly large. Beds and pillows great, ac worked fine. Big parking lot, I would return.
Beds in king suite seem older. Room was clean. Pool and slide lots of fun for kids. Kids said slide is super fast. Hotel has old smell. Love the kitchenette. Overall I would say that it is average quality, not really any extra perks. Most of the clientele are oilfield type workers from what I could tell, so not sure what weekends are like for loud late nighters. Not luxurious in any way.
We stayed here for my daughter's Gymnastic training weekend. The staff is always friendly and accommodating. Large pool, water slide and hot tub which is a hit with the kids. Rooms are large and comfy. This trip we had the 3 double beds and a kitchen which saved lots on restaurant bills. Breakfast included.
My husband stays at this hotel often due to his employment his home away from home and I occasionally accompany him. Rooms are spacious and clean. Staff are accommodating and friendly often going that extra mile to provide good service. Good variety for breakfast and cozy sitting areas. Pool is well tended to and is enjoyed. Close to eateries and shopping.
This hotel is a good choice when travelling for any length of time because of the kitchen suites. There needs to be a little bit of training with the front desk staff when making reservations as once again upon arrival I found my request to be in the west wing of the hotel which she had promised had been pre-blocked not to have been upheld. Thankfully I checked in with the hotel early in the morning upon arrival and there was 1 room left to switch to so that I could be accommodated. Had I relied upon the initial reservation and not checked in until the end of my day (late evening) it would have been impossible. The rooms are well appointed and comfortable. The housekeeping staff is impeccable and I enjoy seeing familiar faces when I travel and being remembered by the staff. The breakfast room is always clean and appears to be well stocked (I usually only grab a cup of tea), and the staff are very responsive when asked for anything. The front desk staff are pleasant and helpful. Some of the rooms could stand some soundproofing review. This most recent stay was in a suite on the main floor, and when someone checked into the rooms on either side it was as though I had a party in my own suite. They were not overly loud, but they may as well have been standing right next to me talking! I don't recall this being an issue on the 2nd floor where I usually stay, but it could just be that I had no one in the rooms adjacent on those trips. Overall it is a great hotel and the staff try very hard to meet the needs and expectations of their guests which is why I continue to return when in town on business.
I stayed one night on my long return trip from Africa. Found my room very clean and spotless. Had to wait little as I was early. Staff was very helpful and accommodating. Breakfast was usual but ample.
We stayed along with two other families. Kids had a wonderful time at the pool. Adults enjoyed visiting in the nice spacious rooms. It was nice having the full kitchen to make snacks and have drinks with friends. There's even wine glasses! Bed was comfortable and everything was clean and in good condition. Breakfast was decent and the coffee was quite delicious. Very good value and I'll stay there again. My friends said they did hear some noise during the night that woke them, but I had no trouble. It is very busy with families so kids are a bit loud. They put families on the pool side of hotel and people without kids on the other side. There's currently a liquor store on the property and Mr. Mikes and Subway within walking distance.
We have been coming to this hotel for years and will never return again. We requested to be moved to another floor because of an unruly drunk guest staying at the hotel who should have been removed but was not removed only because he comes to the hotel all the time, as the staff put it to us. Security was put at risk with this unpredictable drunk behavior of this man. He was drunk and aggressive with the night staff and his children were very noisy and were not stopped even with our complaints eventually my husband and I had to go and put a stop to the noise they were causing playing in the fitness room...not using equipment but PLAYING with and not using when we went in there. The noise from the fitness room travels up to the other floors. 4 children under the age of 16 and only 1 - 16 year old supervising them. Staff did nothing to keep them out as anyone under the age of 16 is not allowed to use or be in the fitness room. If this is the typical client they are letting stay here you better find another hotel. Pros: - Convenient location - check in was quick as we know the girl very well who checked us in Cons: - Poorly Managed - security is not priority - breakfast has severely been getting worse for presentation over the years. - Building looking very run down - Noisy - Mattress on bed very hard and worn - Office chair supplied in room very worn with exposed sharp metal on the arms - Furniture looks very worn - Poor lighting in room
Upon arrival we were greeted and checked in by helpful staff. We absolutely loved our King Family suite with it's master bedroom, another bedroom with two single beds and a main area with a kitchenette. Very clean with comfortable beds. Our children really enjoyed the pool, hot tub and slide (although it was very busy during the weekend)! The complimentary breakfast was great! It was pricey but worth it! 😉
During my two night stay I enjoyed every aspect of the hotel. Everything from cleanliness, to the food, and the pool. I just couldn't believe how well Patsy dealt with one of the intoxicated guests. I was just coming in from a cigarette and some soaking wet guy was babbling (not making much sense and being kind of rude). Patsy didn't even seem phased by the whole ordeal, she kept her composure, kept the conversation at a strictly professional level, and you could literally see the confusion take over him. It's as if she killed him with kindness, remarkable work. Top notch quality of service. I had to sign up for a few sites just to give her credit where it was certainly due. :)
