I have stayed in this lovely hostel on and off since it first opened years ago. In fact, I used to enjoy having the female dorm to myself in the beginning until it was well known. Always a great, warm, friendly experience and very fond memories of the staff back then. It still remains the same and I enjoyed a one night stay here before heading on to Connemara. Best wishes to all the staff for a very happy Christmas and New Year 2026! Looking forward to visiting again at some stage in 2026.

In many ways, this is a great property in the wonderful Salthill neighborhood of Galway. Cool design, convenient to shops, dining, the Latin Quarter, and the seaside promenade. However, the 000-series rooms on the ground level of the adjacent building are very small and not worth what you pay. I was put in Room 001, which was 2.5 x smaller than family members in 201, even though we booked our rooms at the same time and paid the same rate. When I pointed out the discrepancy, I was told by the management that it's just how "the system" is, and nothing can be done about it. Very frustrating.

The breakfast is not to be missed! The rooms were clean and well equipped. The staff and other guests were very welcoming and friendly - all very down to earth. If you’re a pretentious pain in the behind, don’t corrupt this wonderfully place!

Lovely staff and facilities, and great value

Good value, very helpful staff and convenient location with adequate parking for a motorcycle. Breakfast was very good value with ample choice of breads cheese and pastries and fresh coffee. Although we vacated the room by the required time of 10am, we were able to sit comfortably in the lounge/dining area while we planned our journey and charged our phones, with no pressure to leave.

Stayed one night, very friendly and helpful staff, very clean. Small but very nice room, beds were comfortable and there was a mini fridge! I felt like I was sharing a college dorm room with my mom. lol She likes to watch tv at night, when booking I did not realize the room did not have a TV. Next time l'd probably stay at a hotel considering the similar price range. The parking lot has very limited parking. Overall a good stay.
