"The staff was amazing, especially Euri. They couldn't do enough, honestly. It was the manager that I had a problem with. I must have returned to the front desk 15 times, as my key didn't work. It kept demagnetizing. They offered to upgrade my room, I simply didn't have the time to unpack. I requested a night for free, as compensation for all my time lost, and they offered me free breakfast. That didn't quite cut it, as my time in Milan was all about business, I was exhausted and frustrated. As for the hotel itself, clean, had great food, nice atmosphere, but poor care on my behalf in terms of compensating me for all the hassle. They should have -"

"I've stayed at Hotel Berna a few times before, although it had been about 10 years prior to my recent visit. It's a great choice when you need to be near Milan Centrale train station for an early departure or because of a late arrival. Hotel Berna is interesting. The rooms are very different from another, so never quite sure what you are going to get, but you can be pleasantly surprised. This time I got a ground floor room, which felt a little dated, but was also quite large and had a jacuzzi tub (not one of the dated elements). Overall, very nice. I like the restaurant next store, which stays open a little late. I didn't have time for breakfast this time, but I remember that the breakfast and breakfast room are great. This is a hotel I will probably return to, next time I need to be near the train station. "
