Check in was quick and the room was adequate for a one night stay. It has a very small TV with only local programming. Finding parking is not eas, but there was a great restaurant very close.

I stayed here for 5 days last week and was sufficiently satisfied to book anither 2 nights this week. My only minor complaint is the inconsistency in breakfast service. On Monday and Tuesday, during week one, I arrived for breakfast at 7.30 am and was made very welcome. On arrival on Wednesday morning at the same time I was informed breakfast was not available until 8 am. This was disappointing, as the continental breakfast was excellent. I had to make alternative breakfast arrangements for the rest of week one and the two days during this week. The hotel is comfortable and I believe represents good value for money. Just a shame about breakfast.

The double bedroom had a very small shower and the single room had a more commodious one - I stayed on two separate occasions. When you say things like this it seems so petty. The rooms were comfortable and the staff could not be more helpful.

This hotel is located really close to Heuston train station and extremely close to Phoenix Park The reception area was always manned and guys there were very friendly and polite The room was just what we needed a king size bed wardrobe bedside tables with lamps tea/coffee facilities hairdryer and bath toiletries A side table with 2 armchairs a desk and a tv All you could need Bed was comfy enough too We were in a room towards the back of the hotel so was very quite Only negative ( which didn’t impact our stay) was that the extractor in the bathroom didn’t work so this made the bathroom smell a bit musty but once the windows in both bathroom and bedroom areas were open the smell did go And one thing to note is that if you book direct with the hotel continental breakfast is included otherwise it’s €9.50 but the selections did look delicious

Rooms were spacious and clean with comfortable beds. There were several great pubs just round the corner and a nice cafe for breakfast. We walked everywhere but there were buses and trams nearby. We would definitely stay here again.

We enjoyed a lovely 3-day stay at the Phoenix Park Hotel. The staff were friendly and efficient. Our room was very clean, the beds were comfortable, and there was plenty of room to walk around. Unfortunately, the water pressure for the shower was minimal. The hotel offers a reasonably priced breakfast which was quite good. The check-in and check-out processes were quick and easy. One of the positives of the Phoenix Park Hotel is its very convenient location close to Heuston Station, LUAS, and local bus lines. It is within easy walking distance of the Phoenix Park, the Dublin Zoo, and the National Museum of Ireland, Collins Barracks. I would certainly stay here again and recommend it to friends and fellow travelers for its location and price. Hopefully, the water pressure issue was temporary.

Dublin Weekend Stay

Positives - Location of the hotel was excellent for transport links; Customer service offered by reception staff was great; Bed was very comfortable Negatives - Shower was ridiculously small, was very difficult to turn around in it; Hardly any channel on the television worked, either had no signal or lost signal; Decor of room was tired and could do with updating

Surprisingly wonderful hotel

What a wonderful surprise this hotel was! From the pictures, we thought it would be more plain; functional, but not as elegant. I would call its elegance 'simple' but real; likely it was recently refurbished. It had the most comfortable bed we've been on in a hotel in a long while. And usually at a hotel that is not 'high-end' the bathrooms and the shower tend to feel like afterthoughts. Not here; the shower was good sized, with good water pressure and plenty of hot water, with easy to understand controls. Blackout curtains as well; not a lot of street noise, but the area sees a lot of car traffic during business hours, and the these helped us sleep in when we wanted to. We loved the neighborhood. Right across from Phoenix Park, and the Criminal Courts building, there were great places to either grab a quick sandwich on the go, or sit down in a lovely pub and enjoy a pint and some good food (Nancy Hands is the one we frequented). Less than five minute walk to the bus stop, and just over five to Heuston station, for the LUAS tram and lots of other busses (in addition to trains leaving Dublin). Maybe the affordable rates have to do with the fact that it is a little bit outside the 'central' Dublin area, which to us made it so enjoyable. No 'Temple Bar' madness going on; just a good room for a good price in a wonderful neighborhood.

Our room was tiny. It barely fit the 2 twin beds. When I was walking through the halls I saw other 2 twin bed rooms and they had soooo much more room. I don’t understand why I’m paying the same price for a 2 twin bed room and I get a way smaller room. Staff were very nice. Just a little bit salty that my room was a fraction of the size of the other rooms in the same hotel.

This was a cute hotel that served our needs for a reasonable price. Close to the train station and walkable to Dublin area attractions, if you dont mind a little exercise. The lighting is not great in the bathroom and it was a little cold (perfect at night tho!). Breakfast is decent for the price and convenient.

The park was beautiful during the day but felt really unsafe at night. The room was outdated, not like the photos I'd seen before booking. Had some issues with the heating that the staff were quick to help with but the room was too expensive for what it was. I'd recommend spending a few more dollars a night and going somewhere nicer. Had a street facing room and I could hear the crosswalk sign outside all night beeping every couple seconds as well as pedestrians and traffic.
