Returned to this property after quite a while hoping recent updates had improved the stay, but the remodel seems to stop right at the lobby. While the entrance looks modern with new tile and bright lighting, the guest areas have been completely overlooked. The hallways have worn, dated carpeting, and the room itself was dark, dusty, and poorly lit—the bathroom had only a dim, built-in mirror light that barely illuminated the space. Breakfast was equally disappointing: no fresh hot options, standard waffle batter, leftover-looking apples, and weak coffee (even fresh bananas would have been an upgrade). The only real positive was the staff, who were consistently polite and friendly, but the property desperately needs a full renovation.

The entry way and continental breakfast is very nice! The room is dated with a non-working slide lock, sliding doors to a balcony where people clearly smoke because the entire hallway smells of smoke, and dirty shampoo bottles in the shower. It is worth going if you get a major deal.

This hotel is very serviceable and reasonably priced. The location pretty convenient for the greater Detroit area. Plenty of available parking, seems very safe, definitely clean. My only criticism might be to forewarn anyone who is environmentally sensitive to chemicals. I've stayed here three times and it always reeks of disinfectants in the lobby area
