We loved this charming place! The service was incredibly helpful and friendly. Parking was complimentary and gated - felt incredibly safe & secure. Generous continental breakfast in the most charming lobby. Really lovely!
Great eco-friendly, renovated landmark building. If you like bed and breakfasts look no further. Great location with included secure parking. Friendly staff, and included continental breakfast was a great touch. Very clean, and didn't expect housekeeping to clean during my stay.
All in all very pleased, and will likely return if I visit again.
El Moore Lodge was everything! The BEST experience staying in Detroit, far better than any chain hotel. Stunning views, unique room, unbelievably safe, quaint, amazing staff made us feel like VIPs, an adorable grocery store/deli literally in the same yard, walking distance to food and bars...I could go on and on. Surely hope to come back again soon!
Loud. And smallest uncomfortable beds.
It was an old house turned into a bed and breakfast. Not well insulated, thin walls and doors. We could hear the conversations of others. It’s all old wood floors and doors with not noise absorbing materials. Things echoed in the halls. Old water and heat pipe noises. Motion light went off all night as someone would walk by our room right outside our window and old door. Light breakfast provided. Yogurt, fruit and granola. No protein or usual pancakes etc offered . We used uber and had to walk around to the market in freezing weather because it’s the closest location they could get in and out of, so beware of weather. Staff were friendly but we really didn’t talk to anyone other than checking in
Quaint gem in the heart of Detroit with many amenities nearby that celebrate the coolness Detroit has to offer. Gorgeous, well-maintained, property, and superior customer service. Hope to be able to experience it again.
I highly recommend El Moore! Where do i start? Amazing friendly staff, great location walking distance to restaurants and Orchestra Hall, beautiful historic property. Rooftop rooms have amazing views and light. Homemade baked goods for breakfast. Fantastic experience overall!
The property is in a great location. The parking is phenomenal, the staff is incredibly friendly and it’s close to everything.
We stayed in the “Hawthorne”. There was no notice until we arrived the bathroom wasn’t connected the room. There was no way to control the room temperature and it was incredibly hot (January). Lastly the ceiling/walls are paper thin, you could literally hear everything. This made our stay result in very little sleep.
I can’t say we’d never stay here again, but I certainly wouldn’t ever stay in that room.
Amazing, incredible, gorgeous gem of a property. Maia was the best—so friendly and helpful. The location was wonderful and the access into the property was safe, the room was so cozy, the breakfast was delicious and I could have stayed in the parlour for hours. I wish I could have stayed longer. I will definitely be coming back!
