I've stayed here on several previous occasions while doing the GAP and the C&O trail and love the location near the Amtrak station. I appreciated the bike room and being allowed to check in just a little early. The check-in was by video which seemed impersonal but it was very efficient and the agent was very friendly.

The room was very nice. The hotel is a few blocks away from the GAP/C&O bicycle trail but relatively easy to get to. You can't keep your bicycle in your room but there is a bicycle storage room off of the lobby. There are fast food places nearby.

We were there for one night as we rode the C&O Tow Path. There was a festival in town so hotels were quite booked. This was our only option and we felt greatly taken advantage of at $225 for one night. If the price had been below $150 we may have felt differently but it is still a bit neglected!

Staff was not rude, but not a good fit for the hospitality industry. Trains, sirens, and a broken wine bottle outside the side exit were just some of the highlights. I left a couple hours after checking in and stayed at a rest area down the road. That felt safer.

It had the usual heat/AC unit below the room window but with a thermostat on the wall. The AC worked very well. The hotel needs to hire a window cleaning contractor as the exterior of the room window was very dirty, looked like it hadn't

Check-in and check-out were easy processes. Parking is available, but limited. It was a little disappointing that the vending and ice machines did not work on each floor, but the quality service made up for it. The layout of the rooms were nice. We didn't have the best view, but that didn't bother us, because we weren't there for that. We would definitely stay there again.
