Heaven on the ocean

The property was just as promised in the description and we couldn’t be happier. The views are just amazing and were a constant source of entertainment and pleasure. Everything was spotless when we arrived and the manager was excellent about checking in to make sure we had whatever we needed. We had a lovely visit and hope to come back!

Excellent property

We arrived at the condo and it was clean and spacious with beautiful views from every room. A beautiful place. Kitchen was well stocked. Big tvs though we didn’t use them. Comfortable spaces inside and out. We were a 10 minute drive or 30 minute walk to Scuba Life Cozumel who we always dive with. The tennis court is in great shape and pool was large. And we received amazing advice from the host to make sure we had no hiccups and everything at our fingertips. Perfect stay.

Beautiful view of the water and the cruise ships coming and going, even saw the submarine Atlantis leave the dock every morning. Pool was amazing and the condo itself was beautiful and well appointed and maintained. Will be back.

Wonderful week stay

We come to Cozumel every year with our grown kids. We’ve stayed in many condos and this was a great one! The views from every room were stunning!. The location was great. It was easy to catch taxis right outside the security gate. We were able to walk to the Sunset Restaurant a few other places nearby. Would highly recommend this beautiful space.

Wonder Condo

We’ve rented all kinds of properties on the island, about 6 being similar condos. This was definitely one of the best maintained, everything was in good, working condition. Views are amazing. Staff on the property were all friendly. Alex was extremely helpful. I love the location, close enough to plenty to walk to but not right in the busyness. This is the first time we have stayed somewhere on the east side of the road. If there is one, although slight, issue it’s the traffic noise. I do highly recommend staying here.

If you like a cool place to lay your head to rest....BEWARE.

Our first impression of the condo was how opulent the furnishings and decor was. The rooms are all decorated with beautiful furnishings and touches that give the condo a home-like feel. The views from the deck are phenomenal. We were ecstatic to be in such a wonderful location. HOWEVER, after our first few hours in the unit we had trouble with the air conditioning settings. We had read in prior reviews that others had the same problems and that they were solved. We thought that we could be comfortable at 73 degrees. Unfortunately, at night the temperature in the unit soars to between 76-78. The unit is controlled by a Nest thermostat, which the condo owner controls the temperature settings remotely. It cannot be adjusted to cooler temperatures in the unit, we found that at night the thermostat was locked and could not be adjusted at all. It was sitting at 76 degrees at 2 in the morning. After an unbearably hot night we were utilizing three fans in each room to try and cool down the bedrooms. This was not the way we wanted to start our vacation. We tried keeping the blinds closed to help keep the unit cooler and try to maintain at least 73 degrees and called the concierge on day three of temperatures ranging from 73-77, who sent out technicians to check A/C in the unit. They also agreed that it is not the units A/C it is the programming set by the owner of the condo. While we enjoyed our stay in Cozumel, the view was all but lost because we ended up closing the blinds to assist with the radiant heat in the afternoon & evenings. Additionally, there are small sugar ants in the kitchen and dining room. Nothing we could not handle and insect spray was available - but for the price of the rental - it should be sprayed by a professional. It really is a disservice to the rental. It would have been a slam dunk from the looks of the condo but with the A/C issues - we will come to Cozumel again but will not be back at Palimar 8A condo.

Fantastic Property

Family of 6 had an excellent stay. Walk across street for excellent diving and snorkeling. Walk to several restaurants and 40 minute walk or short taxi ride to restaurants and shopping. When initially booked, included washer and dryer; however, later the washer and dryer removed from listing. Host allowed access to washer and dryer. Not having washer and dryer for 2 week stay would have been game changer. Air conditioner did not work in bedrooms but fans were in condo that were helpful.

Amazing Views

The Condo was terrific. Location, Security, Amenities, Cleaning Girls and the Views were all the Best!! If there were any complaints it would have to be the temperature the A/C's are set at they were all Nest and said 74 but it felt warmer. We both were sweating at nite in bed. Living Room/Kitchen were always warm and couldn't read the T-Stat see what it was set at.

Great property with awesome views

The property is very nice, well stocked and comfortable. While our stay wasn't 100% perfect, some issues popped up... Alex, the host, was very responsive and helpful during the stay. You can relax just by sitting on any of the balconies and enjoying the view. We enjoyed the kitchen and the ability to just have this as a home away from home opportunity. I would stay here again, without hesitation.

Nicest condo on Cozumel

We have been coming to Cozumel for over ten years. palmar 8A is top notch. It is so well thought out with high end appliances, massive smart tv’s in every room. It even has a water pressure booster pump you can activate to compensate for the unit being on the top floor. Fantastic views and individual AC controls for each room. Will definitely stay there again.

Wonderful updated condo with spectacular views!

This condo was almost exactly what my husband, son and I were seeking. It is in a great location with several easy to walk to restaurants and very friendly and helpful building staff. The condo has great views from every room and a wrap around deck overlooking the ocean as well as north and south of the island. The condo supplies were also first rate. The one downside is that the pool was being repaired the entire week of our visit. This was a major setback for us however I still am providing a 5 star rating because the building maintenance is out of control of the owners. You will absolutely enjoy your stay here!!

The best condo in Cozumel

I hesitate to give a review for fear of losing out on this place in the future. Stunning. The furniture and decor appear to be from a million dollar property. Spacious. Tremendous view from corner balcony. Great location. Close enough to Centro to get there via 5 minute cab ready but far enough away to be peaceful. Spotless throughout. Staff on site were friendly and quick to respond to any issue. If you're looking at multiple places to stay and this is on the list, quit looking, you found it.

Luxury in Cozumel!

We thoroughly enjoyed our four-night stay at this beautiful condo, which was even more lovely than the photos could ever represent. The furnishings and decor were awesome. Every possible kitchen gadget, cooking accessory, and condiment was at our disposal. We can't wait to return!!!

Upscale condo with fantastic views

We loved our stay in this penthouse property. It was in immaculate condition, custom kitchen, beds and pillows were extremely comfortable and the views were amazing! Each room has it's own patio, the kids all had their private bathrooms and the wrap around deck off the living room and dining room was outstanding! Very clean, plenty of linen, towels for the pool, they even had sunscreen and pool noodles we could use! Alex, was super helpful and answered his phone when we needed him. I highly recommend this place!

Palmar is Paradise

We were extremely pleased with the service and consideration given to us. The unit we stayed in was absolutely beautiful and amenities high end. The impressive views from every room and extraordinary from the wrap around lanai. We were comfortable and very well situated to walk or taxi anywhere in Cozumel. We did rent a car to go exploring and snorkel (also snorkeled right across the street) which was awesome. We love Cozumel and come almost annually so this Palmar retreat will be our go to. As mentioned, service was outstanding, Alex our local contact was wonderful and Five Star exceptional.

Amazing views! An immaculate condo with lLOTS of room !!!!

I am a Cozumeleña that lives in California. And I travel home a couple times a year. I stayed here and share with my family and friends who live on the island and visited to share the fantastic view that this condo offers. The administration was the best I have experienced. . The quality of the wood work and amenities was outstanding. They have big new smart TVs and the nest AC system cam control the temperature in every room.. The entrance is conveniently controlled with a digital key. Everything work perfectly! Thank you Matt to open your beautiful condo 8 A , truly wonderful.
