This was my second time staying at Dann Cartagena and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. I was upgraded to a ocean view room which was amazing as I was celebrating my birthday. The staff is amazing and service is top notch. I have stayed at other hotels in Cartagena and both my daughter and I prefer Hotel Dann. I highly recommend it.
The staff were absolutely amazing! They were kind and attentive and truly helpful. Even though it is by the beach, you will have a far better time by the pool.

Don’t go here… check in took 20 minutes, they charged even for the water in the room and they’re doing construction which was a machine drilling through concrete. I wish we went to a different hotel. Sorry, bummer property.
First let me say that the staff is amazing - these young people go above and beyond to save face for this disaster they have been given to defend - but it is indefensible. The hotel is old and falling apart. The entrance looks like the entrance to a cheap motel where people go to do bad things. It LITERALLY smells like the chemical they use in men's bathroom urinals. The reception area are three pedestals built out of plastic that are dirty and falling apart. The ceiling above in the lobby is leaking and actually falling apart. The wall outlets are missing and the furniture looks like something from a thrift store. The pool that looks amazing in the photos is actually a tiny round pool adjacent to the lobby so there are people walking around in wet swim suits and flip flops like zombies making it very unpleasant. The staff all they do is scramble to make it look good - they are amazing, but they have been placed in a terrible situation and they need these jobs that are few and far between for the massive population that lives in unimaginable poverty. I opted to walk away from my $700 for a four day stay as their wonderful employees asked me to stay and they would give us amazing service. I tipped them well. The owners of this hotel are disgusting and Orbitz should be ashamed not to ensure their photos and claims are true!
