This property should be turn down. Destroyed. And rebuild with new management and staff. -5 stars. (Minus). No hot water. Hard beds. No in room phone. Hard towels. Breakfast is…is… yak ! Air con was very loud and disturbing. I asked to change room and ask why you gave me that room. Kimberly told me if you dont like it you can go somewhere else. So i did. Dangerous area ! Centro ! No safe to walk all day ! Do yourself a favor like kimberly told me and go somewhere else. This cheap price doesn’t worth it.
Please note that the hotel does not appear to have hot water. Perhaps this is typical in Colombia... That is, there was only one water line coming into the rooms, and it was cold water. But, otherwise the hotel was comfortable, and the staff was good... The food was fine, no complaints.
Not only the hotel employees are so weird ! in every moment are offer you things like services that you don't want or ask ! No A/C in hall ways and the place should be drop the Stars to One ! I wont recommend this place to no one ! Some one need to drop the stars in this place probably to one or half star !
It is a decent hotel,great breakfast buffet for being free. Good location.Nightclubs are very close by. Street vendors/food are great around there. Upon checking in the staff handled my luggage. Their stuff is just amazing and they will go above and beyond to take care of their customers and to make sure they are safe. Great value for the price,it is what it is, but I would definitely stay there again and it was already my second time in this hotel because of their stuff:)
Locatin, location, location ! Within walking distance to the Walled City, and many of the sites in Cartagena, very basic hotel, moldy room, no phone, hard beds, tiny elevators, the area is a bit sketchy but strangely enough I felt safe, lots of little stores and many people always around.
The hotel Stil is well-located about four blocks outside of the walled city. There are plenty of shops and stands to purchase whatever you need, and a large grocery/pharmacy is a block away. The hotel has a 24 hour reception desk and two elevators that work. The rooms have a view of the sea as well as the streets below. The air conditioning is effective and on some nights I just used the ceiling fan and I was very comfortable. The beds are a little hard. There is plenty of closet space and if you leave a deposit, there is a safe in the room. The size of the room was decent, and there was a mini-refrigerator for storing beers, or whatever you want cold. The drinks and snacks offered for sale were not outrageously expensive, like in some hotels. The WiFi worked fine. The shower worked well, offering cool water, like in most hotels in Cartagena. It actually was comfortable as the water wasn't freezing but refreshing after a day at the beach. The breakfast was great--lots of variety. In summary I give it 3 stars plus.
I would give it 5 stars if is not for the location, its outside the touristic area, therefore you dont want to go out after dark. In general its good for the price.
The hotel was clean and the free breakfast was a plus. The location is great, close to the old city, but the area can get a little sketchy at night if you walk a couple blocks away from the old city. Overall a good room for the price
