Right in the middle of EVERYTHING! Great location! Right by the plaza San Pedro Claver, which is filled with restaurants and bars; a great place for an afternoon snack and glass of wine!

Great location and very helpful staff. Beautifully restored with clever modern updates

One of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed in. Super clean, helpful and friendly staff and very comfortable room. Beautiful and perfect.

Beautiful pools, great breakfasts. Not all staff could speak great english but that wasnt an issue for us (especially as we are staying in a country that is not our own!). Our issue with communication was the lack of it. My husband fell down a flight of 10 stairs as the hotel had washed the floors on the rooftop and the water had not dried (so massive puddles). He has injured his shoulder and has bruising on his hip and thigh. We told someone and requested the manager to be told. No one apologized to us and no one followed up so i assume that nothing was passed on to the manager. The standard room size is okay; the ceiling is extremely low about 7-7.5ft) making it feel quite cagey. The location was great though

This most central of Cartagena's hotels is a small boutique hotel with 8 rooms. Ours, perhaps the least expensive consisted of two bedrooms and two bathrooms in addition to separate closets allowing my partner and myself to each sleep in our room with the temperature of our choice (she does not like air conditioning). Service staff could not be more helpful. Breakfast is included and is ordered from a menu the previous day consisting of 8 choices. This may be served in your room or downstairs near a small swimming pool. The terrace with another swimming pool has a wonderful view. I should add that there are no local taxes for non-Colombian citizens making this also an economical choice also.

Great hotel with excellent staff, coming back here next time for sure.

Great location, 2 blocks from the the heart of Cartagena, but at the same time quiet. Customized free breakfast, delivered to your room of you wish. Nice views from the terrace. Helpful front desk, reasonably priced.

I recently stayed at Casa Claver for half of my vacation in Cartagena and I was truly disappointed. This was the second boutique hotel in the Walled City that I had stayed at during my trip and my experience there was so much less enjoyable than my other - similarly priced - option. Here are a few of the issues that I faced: - The front desk clerk was INSISTENT that I choose an exact time and location where I would want to have breakfast the next day. Not exactly how I plan my vacation time when I'm there to relax and sleep in. - Noise - I stayed in a first floor room and the entire building is like an echo chamber. I could hear staff activity starting at 5am each morning. - Poolside. The first day that I got to the roof deck pool - there were no fresh towels - only used ones piled up. The clean towels that I did seek out were bleach stained. The lounge cushions hadn't been cleaned and were also dirty. - Breakfast was average. - No shady spots to sit. The main lounge area is on the roof deck in the open sun. The only communal shaded space is at a table on the first floor which is daily occupied by the manager as her office. - There was often no one at the front desk that I could ask for assistance. - The final night of my stay, there was a private party on the roof deck - which they started removing pool furniture for midafternoon (when people were trying to lounge) and the party went past 1am when people were trying to sleep. I was not notified as a guest.
