We chose Cartagena as our Honey Moon destination and the experience did not fail us. The city and its people can not be described with the word hospitable what we experienced goes beyond that. The hotel staff were patient, understanding, pleasant and professional specially Jason and Ingrid at the front desk. They treated us as if we were old friends. We were also very much impressed and pleasantly surprised by a cab Driver (Felix Herinquez) who is affiliated, to certain degree, with the hotel. Felix treated us with honesty and respect. He went above and beyond the call of duty. The treatment we received from him has no monetary value...we found a friend in a far way land. What a city, what a people, what an experience. Cartageneans, you have reasons an a wonderful city to be proud. Nally and Domingo, newly weds!!!

Stayed here a few days for a business trip. Location was good and the staff was helpful. Not sure about the amenities.

Great location, staff were very polite and friendly. Room was spacious, clean and fresh good bedding every day. Breakfast buffet fantastic. Was very happy!

We loved the breakfast buffet and the unexpected friendliness from the staff. Transportation was easily accessible and affordable to any point of interest. The beach across from hotel was a little too hectic with jet sky's so we move to the adjacent beach and it was a little better, but the best option was Isla del Encanto one of the 27 islands 40 minutes away by boat.

Capilla del Mar is a very pretty high rise hotel right on the Bocagrande beach. The food is very good. They have a nice small pool on the top floor with a bar. The staff is very thoughtful and friendly. The work-out room is nothing to write home about. Less than 10 minutes from the old city and less than a half hour from the airport.

Good Hotel, Good location, and great breakfast. The view from the room or restaurants in amazing!

This is a great hotel, but they are remodeling many of the rooms, so some of the rooms are very old and dreary. If you are lucky enough to get a newly remodeled room, you just hit a home run. The new rooms are amazing. The staff is the best, and the breakfast is amazing, and the location is perfect.

I arrived to the hotel very sick as I had food poisoning. They helped me with a quick chek-in and called the burde to my room, who then called the doctor. They helped me get my prescription and checked how I was feeling the next day. I was very happy with the service. My room was not refurbished as some others were, but it was very spatious. The air conditioning in the common areas is really, really cold so be prepared for that. Rooms with an ocean view really do have a fantstic view! I would definitely stay there again!

It was a little disappointing. When we checked in we were asked if we wanted to upgrade to a newer room it's extra per night. Placed a collect call thru the operator & got charged over $66,000 pesos for a 17 min call. If you need to make a call from the hotel don't. They say one thing & you are charged something different. I was charged about $40 for the call.

Overall acceptable rooms and service. Decor may need some fresh look. Breakfast buffet was the best experienced while vacationing in Cartagena. Even the Hilton did not have this type of spread in the morning. Nice little beach on front of Hotel (but too many vendors breaking chops all the time). Good security. I will go there again. I missed the good coffe and the variety of (local) pastries in the morning.

They are in the middle of construction, in the hotel. The banging and drilling is all day long. Across from the hotel there is another huge construction. Sheraton is building another hotel. By the way they charge $8 a day if you want to use the benches at the beach. Breakfast was very good, and staff are awesome. If you bring a guest there is a $100 charge.

This is a very nice hotel, and not too expensive. I stayed in a 2 bedroom suite with a lving area and kitchenette. There were 2 bathrooms with showers in each. Flat screen TVs in each room. There is a nice, but small pool area with a bar on top of the hotel. The view is good from up there! The bar on the 21st floor was closed on the night we went to check it out. The hotel also has an open air restaurant that faces the beach. Great location, right across the street from the beach, where you can walk the entire coastline of Boca Grande. Plenty of beach shops, clothing shops, convenient stores, and places to eat within walking distance. There is a pretty good night club (I forget the name) just a block away on the corner of the main strip, just across from the new Hampton that is being built. A cab ride to Old Town is only 7,000 pesos.

had wonderful time,no complaints. Great location and great view from room

Our overall experience was pleasant. The breakfast is quite diverse and fulfilling, the maids make sure the rooms are meticulous, and the hotel staff is pretty helpful in suggesting different sights to visits, even though there is some language barrier. The location of the hotel is perfect in the sense that it's right in the middle of Boca Grande and two steps away from the beach. Only downside is that there is construction going on right next door, but this area is still up and coming so you would be affected by construction regardless of which hotel you end up staying at.

The hotel is clean and modern. The staff is professional and helpful. The location is fine. I ask for no more.

the hotel is very well located at bocagrande beach, we had an upgrade to a junior suite and we enjoyed it so much! everything is clean and the room was well decorated, they serve a nice breakfast.

used for business and it ws more than adequate. Dinner at hotel was good and rooms were quiet. Staff was pleasant and spoke english

The staff was really nice and the rooms and hotel where very modern. The room was clean and the staff was always willing to help. Capilla del Mar is a great hotel and also offers a great price.

My girlfriend now fiance lives in Cartagena. We had a beautiful stay at this hotel. We were engaged and we had her family there for her daughters birthday party at the pool and a dinner after to celebrate the occasion. The staff was fantastic and made us feel very special. The rates are very reasonable and I would highly recommend this hotel. The beach view is fantastic, and the restaurants are very good and reasonable.. And the buffet breakfast was excellent. Do yourself a favor and try this place.

The hotel location in Boca Grande is very convenient since is across the beach and San Martin avenue where all restaurants and shops are located. We booked the standard room but for $20.00 more per nite we got the all new remodel room facing north with balcony which was worth it. The breakfast buffet was very good, San Marino restaurant also very good the roof swimming pool with a tremendous view all around was tremendous and the bar also. All the hotel personnel were very friendly, helpful and polite. We recommend this hotel
