Excellent Stay

We felt welcomed from the moment we walked through the door. The room was comfortable and well appointed. The free breakfast was very European and delicious. Transportation around the city was free to hotel guests and easy to use. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay.

Excellent Customer Service.

Excellent front desk customer service. The wife and I arrived early afternoon on New Year’s Eve, I asked if they have any recommendations for a restaurant for dinner. The front desk went above and beyond to call and around and find a last minute dinner reservation for us. Fantastic hotel.

The check-in was smooth, the hotel room was nice and clean, and the breakfast was great. Love the location as it’s walkable to a lot of places including restaurants, stores and the train station. Will definitely stay at this hotel if we ever visit Bern again.

Hotel was clean, lots of shops, groceries, restaurants around, walking distance to a lot of sightseeing. Staff were very friendly. Room was perfect for one night, comfortable for one person. There was no fridge. They said was city view but window was very high to see out. Breakfast was basic but worth the price.

The staff greeting us upon check in were incredibly friendly and immediately suggested vacation ideas, as well as offered free transit within Bern during our stay. The breakfast had many options and while the rooms were small, they had most of the amenities that we were looking for. I look forward to staying here again, as Switzerland and the city of Bern are back on our bucket list.

This hotel purely feels like a 2 star business hotel unsuitable for couples or families. There is no fridge or instant water cooker in provided. The air con is automatically turned off every night due to it complying to Swiss law which forces guests to open the windows for ventilation. The nearby clock tower deafening chimes would then be exposed to the guests disturbing rest and sleep. The only solution provided by the hotel staff members would be to bear with the situation. The streets at night are often also noisy in the wee morning hours with the night market setup sounds being echoed it the area. The area did not also feel secure at night with suspicious crowds loitering the area. The breakfast quality is terrible with its scrambled eggs being overly salty every day. The overall service provided by the hotel did not resemble any 3-4 Star hotel.

Kreuz Bern is a very modern, comfortable facility. The room was quiet, clean and comfortable. The staff at the Kreuz was exceptional! They knew the area well and helped us consider how to 'construct' our two day stay to maximize our visit. They were ready with dining options and understood clearly what we were interested in. They all spoke excellent english which was very helpful. Breakfast was also great. Many options and good ones including several kinds of cheese, salami, other meats, yogurts, pancakes, eggs, bacon, cereals, croissants, rolls, butter, jam, fresh fruit.... and any kind of coffee or tea you could want. The staff in the dining room was efficient and helpful. Great stay!! Highly recommend.
