Everything was top notch!! Great breakfast buffet. Food prices are very high in Switzerland so are breakfast held us over to an early dinner. Great location and the hotel gave us a local bus pass for free. No A/C so be aware
This hotel was a great location just less than a block from the train/bus station. Unfortunately the room was extremely small and cell-like. The bed was not separable even though we had specified that we would need two separate beds when reserving the room. The hotel could not accomodate us with an extra room so we were pretty miserable and stayed out of the room as much as possible. The breakfast, on the other hand, was superb! The ladies who prepared and monitored the food were so friendly and accommodating that they helped start us out both mornings in a good mood with full tummies.
The rooms were nice and clean but very(!) small especially for the price. The reception personnel were outstanding. The breakfast bar was very nice and the ladies working in there were very personable. It is very near all the hustle and bustle.
We were doing a driving tour of Europe and staying in Bern to two nights. We were very disappointed with our stay. We had planned to stay for two nights, but cut our stay short and only stayed the one night. The hotel room was small and basic, there was no room to put our cases and had to step over them to get out of bed. We chose the hotel as it had parking (which was actually a multi story next door, not a 'hotel' car park) and it's city center location. We found one member of staff quite rude, when we arrived at reception, the receptionist looked at us without saying anything and then answered the phone. She didn't even appologise of taking the call or keeping us waiting. I know Switzerland is expensive, but this really wasn't good value for money, nearly £250 for a small basic room with car park cost on top.
I traveled across Europe and found myself in Bern for one night. The hotel location, which is not far from the train station, was a key reason I chose this hotel. The check in experience was the best of the entire trip. The employee was courteous and friendly after a long day of travel and best of all, they welcomed me to to the city with complimentary Bern passes that gave my family and I access to public transportation. The hospitality was unmatched. The rooms are nice and clean and it is a quick walk to much of the downtown area, including the Aare river. I was only there one night, but I was sad to depart this lovely town and the fantastic hotel.
Stayed one night for a business trip. Seamless check in and the room was better than expected for a 'single room' that was booked. It had a double bed and was immaculately clean. The room had an umbrella that could be used during your stay, but this wasn't needed due to the 32C heat in Bern at the time. It also had a yoga mat, but I'm not sure whether this was for use in the room or for you to purchase. There was no air con in the room, but they had put a fan in, which helped to a certain extent. Staff very helpful and nice. Breakfast was a very good standard with their in-house made jam and specially baked sourdough bread. The pineapple juice was to die for! The hotel has a small cafe area which serves snacks but no bar or restaurant serving dinner, so you need to head out for dinner in the evening - staff are more than happy to make recommendations to suit your budget though. Overall, very happy with the stay, so I've booked again for the two nights that I am rreturning to Bern next week.
The staff was very nice and helpful, we took 2 rooms (2 adults with 2 children), it is very comfortable, breakfast is very good!!! City center is a few minuets walking transportation is free in Bern - The hotel gave us free cards tickets Wifi is very good. · Parking should less expensive - 28 CHF per day Pillows are not comfortable
Great little hotel two blocks from the main train station. Pros- Ice cold AC, breakfast buffet included with stay, comfy bed, nice comped toiletries, free metro passes, and ample room. Would stay again if in Bern.
The location of the hotel is very central, close to many places, like main railway station, embassies, shopping center. My room was very clean and had everything you needed. Also the room is very quiet although it is on the main street. Hotel attendants are very polite and helpful. Breakfast is very delicious, special jam, free range eggs etc. Very good value for the price.
The hotel is close to the train station and also to the center, still it is relatively not noisy. The personnel is kind, the breakfast is excellent. The equipment and the whole room has very carefully been designed.
