Great stay, nice place. It was a bit dark inside, but otherwise it was great. Nice and quiet and a lovely quiet area for a mountain stay, a lovely mountain cabin. The fenced yard for the dog was fabulous!!

Mountain get away

The cabin was the perfect little place to stay. It was spacious and cozy. The yard was large and perfect for our 4 legged friend to run around in with out worrying that he would get out of the fence. We loved sitting on the porch to enjoy the moring and evening mountain air.

Amazing

We loved this cabin!! It had everything we needed and more. Super clean and literally so nice. We can’t wait to come back and stay here again, hopefully longer next time. The beds were comfy and it was very spacious.

Overall great place

The cabin was in a great location. The cleanliness overall was impeccable except for the urine stains on the carpet in the master bedroom. Would have been nice to be informed of no AC. That being said, everything else was great and would highly recommend!! All kitchen utensils were provided. Check in/out was a breeze.

My husband and son had stayed twice before so we knew it was great. The remodel even made it better. So nice and had everything we needed. Our dog loved spending time in the fenced backyard. Nice doggy door was a bonus! Really special place!

Cute cabin, but rules overload

Overall the cabin was very nice. The kitchen and living room and the overall look of the cabin was beautiful. But there were signs and rules posted everywhere. I understand the need for rules, but put it in a binder. The people that are going to follow the rules will read them in the binder. The folks that don’t follow rules aren’t going to follow the signs/rules anyway. The signs posted everywhere were annoying.

Absolutely will stay again!

Our 3rd time to stay at this house and we love it. Beautiful, quiet, relaxing and so close and convenient to Wolf Creek. Whether skiing, visiting the hot springs or hiking, this house is wonderful.

Great getaway

My husband and i loved our stay at Kit Carson cabin. The home is very nicely decorated and very comfortable. Our favorite parts of our stay were the front and back porches, great places to watch the amazing sunrises and sunsets. Parking is great and the neighborhood is very peaceful and quiet. We'll stay here again!

Amazing property

My wife and I work many hours every week and needed to get away and reset with our two children. Everything was beautiful and many memories were formed in these walls. We appreciate the beautiful slice of Colorado that we were allowed to be a part of.

Nice cabin - roomy - no help if you need it

We needed help from Vacasa but they took a full 2 days to get back to us - just auto-responses to the number they provided. Also don't count on having a working dishwasher as pictured in the listing. Looked like it hadn't worked in a while. Otherwise it was a comfortable place - we had stayed there when it was managed by a local company and it was great. Vacasa phones it in. If you are lucky.

Overall a very nice place

Very nice rental with the cabin look. Everything went smooth, except the pile of trash on the back porch from previous tenants. Upon contacting management to let them know, they just asked if I would get rid of it. I figure if your paying this kind of money to rent a place, you shouldn’t have to do the cleaning persons job. Not a huge deal though. Beds were comfortable, and had zero problems other than the trash.

Cute cabin

Nice cabin but it is not 2 bedroom it is 1 bedroom with an open loft ( so not good for couples traveling together) The closet in bedroom was locked and drawers were full so had to put a few clothes in hall closet and live out of suitcase. No tv in bedroom ... 1 big tv in living area. There is forced heat but it's only warm while its blowing...they did not want you to use propane heater probably bc it cost more bc they have solar panels for electricity . If I am paying for a place I should be comfortable and it was hot or cold ...what's cheapest for home owner is not guest friendly. The cabin is surrounded by mobile homes and no trees flat land... we did enjoy seeing deer in the evening... it was close enough to ski Wolfcreek.

Absolutely lovely

The cabin was everything we hoped for. I am so glad we picked this location. Our daily trips to the Wolf Creek Ski area were easy and our stay was outstanding. Our only comment for future visitors is to be sure and bring bottled water to drink. The water had a bit of a smell and we were not comfortable ingesting it. Otherwise all was great!

Spacious Cabin Near South Fork

With a Master BR down and additional beds in the upstairs loft, this cabin is great for a group or family. The house was outfitted well with convenient and modern appliances. The long driveway worked well for us, as we traveled with an F250 and trailer. Access is easy to the grocery store and town.
