No Housekeeping…..

I was very disappointed that you charge $75 to clean our room, if we wanted it done before we left…. We were there for 4 days. I figured after the 2nd day housekeeping would’ve come through. After 2 days a room needs to be cleaned. We were very careful to pickup after ourselves and wipe down the bathroom sink, but really??? You couldn’t have at least done something????

We have stayed at the Grand Lodge in CB over a dozen times and this time was the absolute worst! Let me start with the two positives: ski in and ski out convenience is super nice and the pool for kids is great! Otherwise this place is going downhill! We came with myself, my husband and two kids ages 1 and 3. We have always had a room with two beds and this time only had one king bed which I was not expecting. No kitchenette, just a tiny fridge and microwave. I brought a bunch of food from home for breakfast and lunches, put it in the fridge then when we woke up to get breakfast in the morning all of our food had been frozen solid, ruining everything. My biggest complaint was not having any room service to clean the room the entire time we were there (3 nights). And we left the room for the majority of the day. With two small kids, our room was a mess and would have been nice to have fresh towels and a vacuum during the stay (what are we paying for??) We also had no internet service and the TV remote would not work. The convenience to skiing in the winter and biking trails in the summer is nice but man this place needs a remodel and some help with cleaning/upkeep!

Unfortunately the walls are incredibly thin, so if your hotel neighbors are loud at all you will hear them! I just so happen to be next to a couple that was fighting SO loudly the police ended up arriving. While this is out of the hotel's control- the fact is just that the WALLS ARE THIN! You can hear kids playing, people arguing, etc! I have asked the manager to call me, but no luck yet. I did enjoy the complimentary electric car charger however.

Our room was clean, comfortable and convenient to walk to the slopes. The bar area had a very good deal for pizza and a beer. Our room had a view of the slopes which was nice. I thought it was an excellent value. The only thing I didn’t like was the lack of luggage carts at checkout. There are plenty of carts, but I think people take them to their rooms and hoard them until they want to check out. There were 3 rooms sharing one cart for a period of one hour. Not one other cart came down in that period of time. This was not the fault of the hotel, and I am not sure of how to remedy this situation.

The King Suite with the kitchen was convenient. Beds were comfortable. Staff was there and that's about it.The hotel is a short 5 minute walk to the lifts.The property needs two additional hot tubs. This was my second stay and both times after skiing and into the evening the single hot tub is PACKED. When you can find space don't look at the water. So if a nice hot tub after skiing is a thing for you be aware.

Great place to stay for a ski vacation. Carly at the front desk checked us in - Terrific! Asked for an extra blanket and it was delivered within 2 minutes. Internet was slow especially during the evening hours - difficult to stream online news. FoxNews channel was blocked. No Fox Business channel - a disappointment. Pool was great. As ever, overnight ski storage was terrific. Have enjoyed this place for several years and will continue to do so.
