Flying these days can be a pretty stressful pursuit. You might find yourself in a frenzy, repacking your luggage to accommodate airlines’ strict carry-on restrictions, mentally triple checking your luggage for excess gels and liquids at security, or just rushing to your gate to make a tight connection. Within this nervous rush, you could—unwittingly—be acting like a total jerk to your fellow passengers and not even know it. Take a look at the etiquette video to see if any of these behaviors hit a little too close to home.

Orbitz.com Senior Editor Jeanenne Tornatore ventures outside the parks to take on camping, horseback riding, water sports, safari and more Disney family fun. Planning your own Disney trip soon? See the Orbitz Disney page for more Disney deals, tips and travel ideas.

Hi, I’m Jeanenne Tornatore, Orbitz.com Senior Editor. Today I’m going to take you beyond the gates here at Walt Disney World to explore some enchanting experiences that will bring your brood together and make memories that will last forever. From sing-alongs to safaris, check out these five Disney experiences that every family will love.

5. Saddle Up.
We begin here at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground, where you can spend a few hours or an entire day honing your cowboy skills at the Tri-Circle-D Ranch. You can tour the facilities and marvel in the beauty of the variety of breeds that live here, from majestic Percherons and quarter horses to Cinderella’s royal pony. Younger ones can saddle up for a pony ride, while guests 9 years and up can explore the rustic beauty on guided trail rides through
Florida’s woodlands.
4. Get Campy.
Now like any good cowboy knows, a long day on the ranch can only be followed up by a roaring nighttime campfire. Many Disney resorts have campfires
for resort guests, but only the campsites at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort offers one of my favorite family experiencesChip ‘n’ Dale’campfire sing-along
. Bring your own marshmallows and sticks or purchase a s’mores kit from the chuck wagon. After the cowboy sing-along, cozy up for a classic Disney movie in a theater under the stars.
3. Catch a wave.
If you’re looking to take your family on a different kind of wild ride, then head over to Sammy Duvall’s Watersports Centre in the marina at Disney’s Contemporary Resort. Sammy lays claim to six world championships in waterskiing, and now his skilled staff can show your family the time of your lives. Pile onto an inner tube, shred across the water on a wakeboard or skis, try a guided tour on a watercraft of your own, or my personal favorite, take to the friendly Florida skies with a relaxing parasail ride hundreds of feet above Bay Lake.
2. Set Off On Safari.
For this next adventure, you’ll definitely want to bring your camera. When you book a stay at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge, you can add on the private Wanyam a Safari. Riding through the resort’s savannahs, you’ll have an exclusive access to more than 30 different species who live on the resort’s 46 acres. From gazelles and giraffes to ostriches and zebras, you’ll discover different kinds of animal activity at each stop and get an inside look at the history and
management of this wildlife. The entire experience is capped off with a multi-course meal at the resort’s signature restaurant, Jiko Restaurant.
1. Light up the Night.
At the end of the day, after you’ve park hopped between the Magic Kingdom, Epcot and beyond, you’re probably looking for a relaxing way to entertain the
family. Wellyou’re in luck. Nighttime entertainment options at Walt Disney World offer plenty of opportunities to please. Take in a fun and carefree dinner show, such as the “Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue.” Set sail on the Pirates and Pals Fireworks Voyage across Seven Seas Lagoon. Or rise 400 feet above
Disney’Springs aboard Characters in Flight, the world’s largest tethered helium balloon. All are great ways to experience a fun end to the day with your family while still creating some serious memories. So as you plan your next Disney vacation, don’t forget to look beyond the gates for these and many more magical experiences. I’m Jeanenne Tornatore. For more information, visitOrbitz.com/Disney.

Ireland’s Wild Atlantic Way

Wild Atlantic Way

Richard Bangs: There is a road on the edge of the earth, trusty, dusky, vivid, and true. Like a ribbon it twists and twines around bights and coves, lochs and bays. It is the Wild Atlantic Way.

Richard Bangs
Ireland – The Wild Atlantic Way
Wonder at EveryTurn

Richard Bangs: No other root broils as the light and wonder, bathes the traveler in so many colors, the yellow gorse, purple heather, the sapphire sea, and 50 shades of green.

It is meant to be seen. To drive this line is to unlock a vault of heaven. The fields furl with clouds of sheep. The sea shatters into stars. The cliffs gash the sky.

It is a poet’s land, with dark rock, deep horizons, great sweeps of sand, and mystic moods. Its acreage is ancient, stitched with stories and legends of pirates and heroes, of kingdoms fought and won, and lost and won again.

It is a boundary between continents, a frame of the frontier, a border that tries to contain huge passions and fails. It is a course of rings and ruins of castles, caves, and manors alive and open armed today.

It is the road of adventure, discovery, of fine food and wine, of hiking, biking, surfing, and fishing, of romance, magic and awe.

It is the path to which you set your own compass and course. In the end, the Wild Atlantic way will take you wherever you want to go.

The Most Luxurious Castle in the World

Richard Bangs: There is no wealth but life, and life blooms when there is luxury. There’s so many castles, so many luxury accommodations around the globe, but there is only one Ashford Castle, the most luxurious castle in the world.

Richard Bangs: Ireland – The Wild Atlantic Way

The Most Luxurious Castle in the World

Niall Rochford General Manager, Ashford Castle

Niall Rochford: We’re located on probably what is the most wonderful part of Ireland. We’re right on the edge of Connemara, which is the most unique landscape, in my opinion, in Ireland. The French call it the sauvage, savage beauty. I think when you go to Connemara, you see that in the color of the sky and also the color of the landscape.

You can see in every single detail luxury from the chandeliers to the linens to the carpets.

Richard Bangs: Luxury here is the ripest fruit of all. It is the perfect bliss and the soul of felicity. It is the sweet fruition of all that is an earthly crown.

Niall Rochford: We say Ashford is full of character and characters. Be genuine and generous with your guests and with your staff. Then I think that creates the ability to deliver luxury at its very, very finest.

Richard Bangs: Give us the luxuries of life and we will dispense of its necessities.

Niall Rochford: We’re located on Lough Corrib, which is Ireland’s second largest lake and its renowned trout fishing, and we also have Lough Cong, which is the river that flows through the estate, and that is synonymous for its salmon fishing. Our guests many, many of them just go off property and get lost in the savage beauty that is Connemara.

Richard Bangs: The beauty of Ashford lies in its divine [play], architecture, art, and environs beyond proportion and harmony. Its design and service flare with graceful wings and voluptuousness. But with all the stone and heritage it possesses something of a lightness and great refinements. This is a place of unbounded time, a place for measureless dreaming. In this world where nothing is perfect, here is found the most exquisite form of happiness. Once you have been to Ashford Castle, there is nowhere else to go.

Top Five Game of Thrones Locations in Northern Ireland

Richard’s Gold List
Richard Bangs:
Northern Ireland

Top 5 Game of Thrones Locations
Richard Bangs: The history of Northern Island combines the cut and thrust of medieval warfare with murder, mysticism and intrigue; just like the “Game of
Thrones.”
5. Cairncastle
Richard Bangs: See this blood here? This is where Ned Star k beheaded the Night’s Watch deserter.
4. The Dark Hedges
Dee Morgan: Dark Hedges on the Bregagh Road, where Arya Stark and Robert Baratheon’s illegitimate son board a cart on and he uses the Kingsroad.
3. Cushendun
Dee Morgan: The Cushendun caves is when Melisandre goes off with the Onion Knight, and that scene they come in by boat in the darkness and they reach the cave and Melisandre opens her cape and of course she’s naked. And she then gives birth to the shadow baby. I think it was probably pretty cold for her there.
2. Ballintoy
Dee Morgan: In Ballintoy, there is a picture of Theon Greyjoy, and basically the Iron Islands is where Theon Greyjoy comes back to get support from his father to help Rob Stark. That’s where he meets his sister and they go off on a horse, back to the family home where he hadn’t been in many years.
1. Larrybane
Dee Morgan: Larrybane is an old lime quarry, and itwas used in several scenes. One of the most important ones was Brienne of Tarth defeating Flower Knight in a battle, and that’s when she then becomes the King’s sort of right-hand lady.

Inside the Irish Pub

Richard: When you’re in an Irish pub, you realize that the only thing that needs to be finished by next Friday is next Thursday.

Richard Bangs: Ireland – The Wild Atlantic Way

Inside the Irish Pub

Richard: There are only two times when I drink in an Irish pub, when I’m alone and when I’m with friends.

Woman: Sláinte.

Richard: Sláinte.

Man: Cheers.

Richard: The Irish pub is the place where truth can never get in the way of a good story. It is the great equalizer, where station holds no sway, where differences are bridged, inhibitions dissolved, tongues loosened, schemes hatched, songs sung, and the meaning of life is solved.

Conversation is on tap here. Once the spigot is turned, talk can go anywhere, but the Irish do not suffer gladly common sense.

The Irish pub is the place to practice moderation, but only in moderation. Beauty is in the eye of the beer-holder.

May you live all the days of your life.

Summer is officially here, and California’s beaches are beckoning. If you’re ready to get your toes wet and take on a new watersport in true SoCal style, you’ll find everything you need to go sailing, snorkeling or surfing in Orange County (tip: don’t call it the OC).

Surfing

While there are many places that lay claim to being the “Surf Capital of the World”, only Huntington Beach boasts the moniker “Surf City USA.” So if you’re thinking of taking up surfing, or simply immersing yourself in surf culture, you need to start here with a visit to the International Surfing Museum, and a stroll along the Surfer’s Walk of Fame. Wander on to the pier for great surf-watching, and then when you’re ready to head out, you’ll find plenty of surf rental shops to get you suited up.

Body Surfing

Newport Beach is along stretch of sandy beach that is ideal for bodysurfing, body boarding, or simply enjoying a day at the beach. Bring all the toys, you can use them here. At the south end, the more adventurous and experienced bodysurfer can take on The Wedge, where the jetty creates a fierce shore break with steep waves and exciting conditions.

Related: Explore the road trip less traveled on California’s Highway 395.

Snorkeling and Scuba Diving

The best spots for snorkeling and diving in Orange County are found in and around Laguna Beach. Crescent Bay is favored for having rocky tidepools, giant kelpforests, and a reef. Just south is Shaw’s Cove, and Fisherman’s Cove is south of that. There are some interesting reef formations, such as an underwater arch between Shaw’s Cove and Crescent Bay. Commonly viewed marine life includes brightly colored garibaldi fish, sea stars, sea urchins, bat rays, and the occasional leopard shark (harmless).

Swimming

Corona Del Mar State Beach is a great all-around beach for swimming and playing in the water. This family-friendly protected state beach is sheltered from the larger swells, and here you’ll find picnic tables, fire pits, showers, restroom, and a snack bar. Further south, Laguna Beach is where you’ll find a high concentration of luxury hotels with private beaches, all of which have optimal conditions for good ole swimming and sunbathing.

Stand Up Paddleboarding

If you’re more interested in being on the water than in it, head to the Back Bay of Newport Beach, where you can learn to Stand Up Paddle in calmer waters. Also known as Paddleboarding or SUP, this sport is self-propelling and doesn’t require waves, though more advanced Paddleboarders will head to the beach to ride waves as well.

Sailing, Yachting, Whale Watching…and gondolas!

So, you really don’t fancy get wet at all, but love a good dose of ocean air. Sailing and yachting options are abundant, especially around Dana Point Marina and Balboa Islands. Some of the best whale watching in the world can be found off the Orange County coast, where whale and dolphin sightings occur year-round. For something completely different, you can even take a romantic gondola cruise in Newport Beach.  Whatever your watersport inclination, you’ll be sure to find the best spots to learn, enjoy, or simply spectate, all in Orange County.

As Disneyland celebrates its diamond anniversary, Orbitz senior editor Jeanenne Tornatore pays the parks a visit to look back on five milestone attractions that still capture the wonder and excitement of the most magical place on earth. Here’s a look back in celebration of Disneyland at 60.

blogCTA _dealspage2

Hi, I’m Jeanenne Tornatore, Orbitz.com Senior Editor. Today I’m coming to you from Sleeping Beauty Castle at Disneyland, where guests and cast members alike are enjoying Disneyland Resort’s Diamond Celebration. As we mark this momentous occasion, we’re taking a look back through six decades of magic brought to life. Here are five milestone attractions in the resort’s history.

Disneyland’s world famous Jungle Cruise embarked on its maiden voyage in 1955 and was the most anticipated opening day attraction. This simulated river
boat cruise tour led by Disney cast members has remained open and largely unchanged in theme and story since.
Just four years later, in 1959, Disney introduced the first steel tubular rollercoaster in the world with its Matterhorn Bobsleds. This thrilling, high speed run down the icy slopes of Switzerland’s most famous peak remains a one of a kind attraction even today. No other Disney Park has a Matterhorn Mountain.
In 1995, one of the most elaborate and sophisticated Disney theme park attractions was brought to life. Indiana Jones Adventure was a collaboration between George Lucas and Disney Imagineering working on designing construction. Boasting special effects, music from the film, and a compelling story, guests are transported to 1935, on a hair-raising quest through the Temple of the Forbidden Eye.
Next over at Disney California Adventure Park, we go Soarin’ Over California, a high-tech ride that debuted in 2001. This amazing simulation of a hang gliding trip to ok the virtual reality experience to the next level with the wind in your face, feet dangling over the treetops, and even the sweet smell of California oranges. Fifteen years later, it’s still one of the resort’s top attractions.
And most recently Radiator Springs Racers. Launched on the heels of the animated blockbuster cars, this highly anticipated attraction covers six acres,
the largest attraction by acreage in the Disneyland Resort, and combines classic storytelling in Disney dark ride fashion, with a thrilling race as its grand finale.
And of course, as Disneyland hits the big 60, it does it in milestone fashion, with new nighttime spectaculars that continue to bring exciting innovation to this most magical place on earth.
I’m Jeanenne Tornatore with Orbitz. For more information on visiting and booking travel to Disneyland, visit Orbitz.com/disney.

Orbitz senior editor Jeanenne Tornatore explores Disney’s many debuts this summer, from outrageous new light shows in Anahaim to fancy new Frozen shows in Orlando, and more. Take a look.

Hi, I’m Jeanenne Tornatore, Orbitz.com Senior Editor. This summer, millions of visitors will pass through the gates here at the Disneyland Resort here California and at the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando. And whether it’s your first time or you just can’t get enough, there’s always something new to experience, and this summer is no exception. Here’s a little sneak peek at some of the new magic at Disney Parks.
Let’s start here at Disneyland, where visitors are enjoying the resort’s Diamond Celebration, with three fantastic new after-dark shows to celebrate 60 years.
First, the new Paint the Night Parade lights up Main Street USA with more than 1.5 million LED lights and even more imagination.
Second, the Disneyland tradition of creating big, dazzling firework shows will soar to new levels as the Disneyland Forever show immerses guests in stories from the tips of their toes to the skies high above.
And third, award-winning actor Neil Patrick Harris will serve as host along with Mickey Mouse in a new fun-filled presentation of the popular nighttime “World of Color Spectacular” in Disney California Adventure Park.
And visitors to Disneyland will also enjoy the newly opened Grizzly Peak Airfield featuring Smokejumpers Grill and magical updates and special effects to the beloved classics Matterhorn Bobsleds and Peter Pan’s Flight.
If Orlando’s on your summer itinerary, don’t worry, you won’t feel left out. Here are some of my favorite new delights at Walt Disney World.
Ever hear of a little movie called “Frozen”? Well, this summer guests can take part in “Frozen Summer Fun Live,” featuring a daily procession with your favorite characters, sing-along celebration, dance party, and “Frozen” fireworks.
Epcot guests will enjoy new entertainment acts throughout Epcot World Showcase, including a new twist on American songs by a capella group American Music Machine, choreographed flag-throwing at the Italy Pavilion, and at the Canada Pavilion, a friendly competition among lumberjacks.
And Downtown Disney continues its multi-year transformation into Disney Springs, a shopping, dining, and entertainment destination set amid open-air promenades and meandering springs and full of charm.

There is much to love about Norway even before you get there. If you’ve ever dreamed of seeing the Northern Lights, cruising through pristine fjords, or following trails of trolls, Vikings, and Disney princesses, Norway has probably made it’s way on to your travel bucket list.

But once you get to Norway, you’ll discover there’s so much more to this country than you anticipated. That original bucket list item? No sooner do you check it off then you add on and check off dozens more. Here are a few of those list-worthy experiences to get you started dreaming of Norway:

Plus: Find out what you absolutely can’t miss at Yosemite, including this incredible waterfall optical illusion.

Fjord Cruise, check.

With over 33,000 miles of coastline – more than the United States – it makes sense that Norway is an ideal cruise destination. One of the most visited sites in Norway is Geirganger Fjord, a designated UNESCO World Heritage Site, with steep granite cliffs and plunging waterfalls making for incredible natural scenery. Norway also boasts the world’s longest, and second deepest fjord, Sognefjorden. While it’s entirely possible to enjoy Norway’s scenic beauty without ever leaving the water, you’ll want to go ashore to check off a few other bucket list items.

Glaciers, check.

Norway is home to the largest glacier in mainland Europe, the Jostedal Glacier. Located in Jostedalsbreen National Park, it has several armsreaching down into the fjords. One of the more accessible arms is Bryksdalbreen, located south of the port town of Olden. The hike to the (notably-retreating) face of Bryksdal Glacier is mostly uphill, but offers outstanding scenery of mountains, waterfalls, rivers, and a pristine glacial lake.

Scenic railway journey, check.

Considered the most beautiful rail journey in the world, the Flam Railway is also one of the steepest, ascending from sea level up 2,821 feet of the Sognefjord. The hour-long journey passes through spiraling mountain tunnels that open up on amazing scenery of snow-capped peaks and cascading waterfalls. If you’re feeling active and adventurous, you can opt to hike or ride a mountain bike back down to Flam.

When to go

Now is the time for travel to Europe, while the dollar is strong. Surprisingly, Norway hasmuch to offer beyond the peak summer season from June through August, when the daylight is long and cruise ship traffic is busiest. The fall brings fewer visitors and lower prices, and the spring brings migrating birds, blooming wildflowers, and dramatic waterfalls. The best months for seeing the Northern Lights, while also enjoying winter sport activities, are December through March. Whatever kind of nature experience you might be dreaming of, chances are pretty good you’ll find it in Norway.

The souks of Marrakech, Morocco, converge on the largest and busiest square on the African continent, the Djemaa el Fna. By day, the square bustles with artisans, water-sellers, orange juice vendors, shoppers and tourists. By night, it becomes a huge open-air restaurant of home-cooked meals, serving up traditional Moroccan fare such as tagines and kebabs. Between day and night, during the magic hours of dusk, the square swarms with storytellers, snake charmers, magicians, dancers, drummers, and all manner of colorful characters.

What to See

Designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Marrakech medina is a staple of any Morocco itinerary, and a worthy destination in itself. Many attractions of historical and architectural interest, as well as cultural treasures, are located in the medina.

1. The Koutoubia Mosque, the landmark of Marrakech, towers above the Djemaa el Fna. While the inside is not accessible to non-Muslims, it is worthwhile to explore the gardens and admire the exterior architecture.

2. The Bahia Palace, builtin the 18th century, is a rich architectural delight, with 150 rooms containing excellent examples of zellij (terra cotta tile work), painted ceilings, tiled floors, carved-cedar ceilings, stucco, mosaic inlay, and stained glass.

3. Jardin Majorelle is a garden villa once home to Yves Saint Laurent. The former studio now houses the Berber Art Museum, a small but rich collection of artifacts of Berber culture including textiles, weaponry, instruments, traditional clothing, as well as a stunning collection of jewels.

4. The Saaidian Tombs, dating back to the 15th-17th centuries, house an elaborately ornate mausoleum with Islamic script tile work, imported Italian marble, and pure gold gilded plasterwork.

What to Do

Shopping: The souks of Marrakech are a shopping mecca, where you can find everything from traditional leather goods, ceramics, clothing, lamps and baskets to jewelry, furniture, carpets, and contemporary art. Haggling is expected, and serious transactions might include negotiating over mint tea. Keep your eyes open for artisans quietly at work in the corner of a stall – it is especially meaningful to bring home a handicraft that you’ve watched the artisan create.

Dining: Food options are plentiful, and the visitor is no longer limited to goat stew tagines or couscous with vegetables. Many private riads serve sumptuous multi-course meals accompanied by musicians or storytellers. Cooking classes have grown in popularity, and are a great way to spend an afternoon – preparing your own Moroccan meal with skilled chefs and perhaps using fresh ingredients that you’ve picked out in the markets.

Where to stay

The best betfor comfortable and authentic Moroccan ambiance is to stay in one of the many riads in Marrakech. These boutique hotels offer the intimacy of a private residence located in the heart of the medina, often with luxury standards of food and service.

“The Adventure Junkie.”

Starting Monday, I’m on the move again as I finally summit Everest with only a small backpack of rations and my trusted Sherpa, Ang Lhak Pa.

When will I return? I do not know. But replying to your email will be just as much of a rush as the time I wrestled a bull shark off the coast of South Africa.

The mountain calls,

Corey Feldman and his Angels charge up with Orbitz for Sundance.

Sure, you might remember him best for his roles in films like Goonies, Stand By Me and Lost Boys. But these days, Corey Feldman’s making a name for himself as an active musician, traveling with his “Angels,” Rachel and Courtney (a.k.a. DJAC). The trio’s settled down in Park City this week for the Sundance Film Festival. Here’s what he’ll be up to.

1. Dining out. Park City has some amazing restaurants and plenty of options for the health conscious. I’m a vegetarian, and Angel Courtney is a vegan, so we’re always looking for restaurants that can accommodate even the most unique requests or offer great variety. A must stop is Glitretind in the Stein Eriksen Lodge (you may still see Stein hitting the slopes). It’s gota cozy atmosphere and the food is great. And I could spend all day at Deer Valley’s Mariposa, which is number one for food (vegetarian included) and service, and sets an elegant mood for the Angels with its crackling fireplaces.

2. Hitting the slopes. I’ve been skiing since I was 11 years old. There is so much going on during Sundance during the day and night, so that’s why it’s ideal to make some turns. First timers in Park City will have a hard time choosing, since there are three great resorts here. Award winning Deer Valley (I like that they take my skis off my car), or the incredible Park City Mountain and Canyons, just acquired by Vail. The Angels and I are hoping to get some powder on Friday at my fave, the Canyons. And when we hit the slopes I bring a whole new meaning tothe term “Snow Angels.”

3. Seeing live music. My life has been the movies which is the foundation of Sundance, yet I love the music scene. There are great shows, including BMI’s Snowball on Wednesday night, plus the intimate ASCAP Music Café. Also, PC Live has great acts all through Sundance. The best events are the secret concerts during Sundance: I’ve seen the Beastie Boys, Metallica, Rick Springfiield and Dave Grohl, in different years. And if you are into live music, definitely look for me on tour next year with my very own DJAC and Corey’s Angels. We have a hit single out right now called “Everybody” featuring Doc Ice, which can be heard and requested on your local radio stations, and the album is called “Angelic 2 The Core,” which will be out this spring. But if you can’t wait that long, you can pick up a digital copy of my latest EP done with the help of The Angels and it’s called 1st Glimpse of Heaven. It features the hot song “Ascension Millennium” and can be purchased through most digital retailers. For more info, check out my website www.CoreyFeldman.net and the Angels at www.Coreysangels.com. Plus, you can find Angel Courtney, a.k.a. DJAC on Twitter and Instagram @courtanne89.

4. Kicking back at a great hotel. This year, the Angels and I are staying in a mansion in the Park City area, but there are a couple condos here in town that I really love. All Season Resorts has many options, including my fave The Caledonian. It’s great property that gives you the best of both worlds. We stay steps from all the action of Park City yet we are ski in/ski out, due to being next to the lift that carries you to Park City Mountain Resort. I recommend the world-famous three bedroom with its private hot tub. Well, at least it was famous after I was through with it! I always like the Deer Valley experience, and whenI want luxury and exhilarating beauty I make sure to visit Deer Valley’s vast collection of homes and condos like the Grand Lodge and Silver Baron.

5. Exploring what’s around. Park City is a beautiful setting with its historic main street. But after a couple of days, it is nice to get off the beaten path to head where it all began, Sundance Resort. The Owl Bar is one stop. It includes the actual restored bar that Butch Cassidy’s Hole in the Wall Gang used to frequent. The bar was moved from Thermopolis, Wyoming. It’s a great piece of history.

Some travel rewards programs make you wait forever to redeem, and you have to be some kind of a math genius with a degree in advanced analytics just to figure out what all their messy points are worth. Not with Orbitz Rewards. It’s math made simple, and you get free hotels faster than any other rewards program out there. Trust us, we’re not biased.

Transcript:

Customer: I wanted to determine the exact value of my travel rewards points, so I did the only logical thing. I got a PhD in quantum mathematics. So let us take a look at some of the supplies I like to use when I’m figuring out my rewards points.

A calculator, graphing calculator, an abacus, this is something I like to call a protractor, an astrolabe, and — look who’s here — backup astrolabe. They’re dating, no they’re not, they’re married. Title charts, backup abacus — the first one might break.

A vision board, this is my vision board. You make your own. There’s some private stuff on it. Please don’t look at it too closely. Star charts.

Orbitz Rewards, one Orbuck equals one dollar and no blackout dates. Oh, really? Well, what am I using all this for, huh?

Announcer:     You don’t need a PhD. Get Orbitz Rewards. Instant vacation gratification.

You’re never too old for Disney fun. And you’re never too young. Orbitz senior editor Jeanenne Tornatore and her toddler son experience all the Florida park has to offer its youngest visitors—pirate parades and in-line entertainment included.

Transcript:

Hi I’m Jeanenne Tornatore, Orbitz.com Senior Editor. Did you know that there are more than 68 attractions for toddlers and preschoolers at Walt Disney World?

With so much to see and do, it’s easy to miss some of the amazing adventures for the smaller set that are right under your nose. So I brought my little guy and my mom to uncover the treasure of Disney’s preschool experiences and share with you some of our favorites.

And speaking of treasure, first we need to look the part. At Disney, makeovers aren’t just for princesses. This junior pirate is getting the full transformation. Then we’re off to see his mateys and the pirate parade.

There are so many classic Disney rides and attractions that are perfect for this age group. Fantasyland is one of our favorite areas of the park, and now with the new expansion complete, the largest in Magic Kingdom’s history, there’s no doubt we are in 3-year-old heaven.

Let’s face it, waiting in line isn’t a preschooler’s favorite thing to do. That’s why we love these new interactive queues that make waiting, well, pretty fun. I don’t even think he knows he’s waiting.

Nothing is more special to a child this age than meeting one of their beloved Disney pals. But make no mistake, the decisions are tough — breakfast with Jake, lunch with Mickey, dinner with a princess. The good news is there are plenty of opportunities in every park to meet your favorite. For this preschool pirate, it’s Jake all the way.

After a long day of sword fighting and teacup spinning, this big guy is ready for; you guessed it, the pool. One of my favorite things about staying at a Disney resort is quick and easy access for pool time, naps, and relaxing and, of course, easy access back to the parks for extra magic hours.

I’m Jeanenne Tornatore from Orbitz, ahoy from Walt Disney World.

A trip through the Petrified Forest National Park in Arizona is like traveling back in time 200 million years, with ancient layers of sediment forming the back drop for these “trees turned to stone.” If you find yourself in the Grand Canyon State this February for the Super Bowl, or just decide to make a warm escape there, be sure to explore the other-worldly landscape of Arizona’s Blue Mesa.

Scenic drives and national parks
If you are arriving in Arizona by air, you’ll definitely want to rent a car to take advantage of scenic landscapes. The infamous Route 66 traverses the state in the north, along with what is currently Interstate 40. Along it you’ll find the Painted Desert and Petrified Forest National Park. In Flagstaff, I-40 is intersected by Highway 89, running north to the Grand Canyon. Several interesting parks and monuments are clustered in this region, such as Walnut Creek, Sunset Crater Volcano and Wupatki National Monuments.

Why go in winter
Arizona is a popular winter destination, with good reason. The desert climate of Central and Southern Arizona will have an average temperature ranging from 65F to 75F during the winter months (80F to 105F during the summer). Meanwhile, Northern Arizona has mountainous regions and snowfall and skiing in the winter—with highs in the 40’s. The South Rim of the Grand Canyon is open year-round, and winter is an especially good time to visit, with fewer crowds. The National Parks are fee-free on January 19, and February 14-16.

Where to stay
If you plan to visit National Parks, then Flagstaff isthe perfect base from which to explore in any direction. If it’s the pampered city life you fancy, Scottsdale is an ideal base, with luxury resorts, shopping, golf courses and spas.

[aesop_content color=”#000000″ background=”#ffffff” columns=”2″ position=”none” imgrepeat=”no-repeat” floaterposition=”left” floaterdirection=”up”]In the Atlantic Ocean, about 1,000 kilometers east of North Carolina, Bermuda boasts a much milder climate than the Caribbean islands. This emerald archipelago is much loved for its pretty pink sand beaches, eye-popping blue water, and relaxed British character. Colorful colonial houses line the streets of Bermuda’s tidy capital, Hamilton, as well as the many quaint island villages with British-inspired names.

Reefs that sunk ships in Bermuda’s clear waters offer some of the best wreck diving in the Atlantic. Snorkeling, fishing, and sailing are also popular pursuits and many well-maintained hiking, biking, and bridle trails loop through the island’s nature reserves. Golfers also flock here from around the world. Thanks, in part, to its gentle summer temperatures, Bermuda has more golf courses per square kilometer than any other country in the world, many with sweeping ocean views.Bermuda is also known for its rich seafaring history. Over the centuries, many ships met their fate along the archipelago’s treacherous reefs. England claimed possession of the islands in 1609 after the English ship, Sea Venture, wrecked off the shores of historic St. George’s Island, now a UNESCO World Heritage site. Today, history buffs can explore Bermuda’s maritime history at the many forts and excellent museums around the islands.
