Spent the night there this weekend and we played the casino. A nice hotel and priced right. Right close to the interstate (80) but not too noisy. Very clean place. Had issues with our room/door keys at first but the manager on duty (Dave)-made it right for us big time!! Dave was super good to us. Forgot my swim trunks and such but the pool did look nice and the water felt warm. Decent exercise room also. The hot breakfast was quite good. Nothing too fancy here but a very good value here.
Clean, well manged place. Room has all amenities and staff was very friendly. Fast food restaurants are close by. Room's door lock was malfunctioning and it took 3 trips with new keys to get it open. Stayed for 2 nights and bed was not made or cared for , and bathroom was not replenished by house keeping.
Stayed here just yesterday for one night on our way from Michigan back home to visit in Pennsylvania. It put us close to where we wanted to be in the morning and was an easy on/off from the turnpike. At check in (around 9pm) front desk was well staffed (2 attendants) and was quick and very friendly. Made sure to tell us they would be there all night if we needed anything. Hotel design (lobby, breakfast area, etc.) are very pleasantly designed. We used our Marriott rewards points for the hotel stay, but normal rates were around $80 or so, so VERY reasonably priced for a great, newer, clean hotel. Room was well cleaned and nicely appointed. We had a King size standard room. Bed was firm, but comfortable enough for sleeping. Had a nice desk work space, little fridge and microwave. Bathroom was nice sized and had basic necessitates (coffee maker, soap, shampoo, conditioner) available. We had a room facing the front of the hotel and there was a small amount of "road" noise from outside that could be heard, but not too bad at all. I usually sleep with ear plugs when I travel and had forgotten them and it was not enough noise to bother my sleep. Free breakfast in morning was more than enough to get you going with hot selections (waffles, eggs, ham, bacon) as well as fruits, yogurt, cereal, bagels, etc. Location was very close to a bunch of restaurants (walkable if you wanted to) and many other things. Asked at front desk when leaving about a grocery store or Walmart where we might find a cake for the birthday we were heading to, and they quickly directed us to two options (Giant Eagle, and Walmart) both just a couple miles down the road. I highly recommend this hotel and I will certainly considering staying here again!
It was consistent with Marriott standards, but nothing extraordinary. It's conveniently located along I-80, but the entrance is difficult to see. We're Marriott platinum and booked a room with two double beds. It was small but clean.
My husband and I have stayed at this Fairfield about 6 times now. A great stopping point when traveling Route 80 - it's about halfway from Chicago to New York. The property is always clean, staff is always friendly and helpful and it's very convenient from Route 80 as well as convenient to local eateries, and a local racetrack/casino. Breakfast is included and is very good and always hot. We use our AAA card and get a great rate. It's definitely a place to stay.
Traveling back to Pennsylvania from visiting family in Illinois. Stayed at the Holiday Inn Express last year on our way though because we're IHG members and earn points for free stays with them. We were looking to save a few bucks as we had extended our vacay. After doing some quick research, we found this hotel to be what we were looking for. It had great reviews and was significantly cheaper than the Holiday Inn. We had originally started our search on Trip Advisor, but finished on the hotels own website. We opted for the AAA rate which was $59 plus tax for a room with two doubles, on a Sunday. We had the hotels website up on my phone when we arrived. We asked about the room rate and the front desk told us it was actually a higher price in their computer. We showed the front deck the price that was on their website and that is what we were charged. Wonderful, friendly staff! The rooms are clean and fresh and hotel is located right off of I80 and close to several restaurants in both directions. We will definitely be staying again the next time we're in the area,
We have stayed here before prior to the updates and weren't impressed. I'm glad we decided to give this place another try! The person working the desk, Marni, I think, was very friendly and welcoming. The breakfast area was well stocked and clean. We will be back!
After driving all day with a bad back we reserved a room at this hotel because it had a hot tub. When we arrived there was a note on the front desk informing us that the hot tub was down. I said something that maybe they should have had it on the site that it was down because we would've gone somewhere else. We were told that it had just gone down that afternoon. We'll, we had just booked the room about half an hour before. The toilet in our room kicked ran most of the night and it was extremely loud. Breakfast was ridiculous. They had almost nothing out. The employees parked just on the outside of the canopy making it very difficult to get in and out. Said something in the morning when we checked out and they told us there was nothing they could do. Now they are asking my boyfriend to take a survey and when he mentions all of this they come back and call him a liar. Never ever again. Generally when there are things wrong the hotel will try to do something to make it up to you. They obviously do not care about their guests and they showed it at every step. My advice, stay away!!
I was grateful for the comfortable clean room. Great bed! The staff was friendly and helpful. Best of all the breakfast buffet went beyond the standard cereal and toast. I had oatmeal with nuts and cranberries and fresh pineapple and strawberries and eggs. There were plenty of other choices too! I would definitely stay here again!
Stayed here on business, Front desk staff were great, and the decent size room was nice and clean. Although not among the most modern places I have stayed, the king size bed was comfortable and the room was complete with microwave, fridge, and desk. The typical hotel style bathroom had a large stand up shower, and a whirlpool tub!! Continental breakfast was included, and quite good - albeit I was first one there in morning. Facilities is super close to the Hollywood Casino if interested in a quick encounter with Lady Luck. Overall a great deal for the money, and I would stay here again.
