The staff was friendly and was very helpful. The location is close to highways, restaurants and stores. The breakfast was good. The hotel was quiet, at least in the area where I was so I was able sleep well. The internet connection was very good.
The room was quiet and comfortable. Carpet could use to be replaced in room and especially in the hallway. Besides that, the staff were really friendly especially the Manager Kathryn and Jamie in the breakfast area. The breakfasts were very good, had hot and cold items, and they really catered to our needs. The customer service at this hotel was superb. I highly recommend this hotel for business travel. No self serve laundry and no microwave in the room was my only complaint.
it was great friendly and caring people and clean place to stay . right off route 80 interstate in Yougstown. this is 2nd time there . I will go back there again. easy to get there . great for the family stay would recommend it to anyone to stay there.
Super clean. I have never been treated so well by ALL the staff. The condition of this hampton is outstanding. Loved the room, loved the price, loved the staff. I would rate this the number one Hampton.
I arrived at the Hampton inn after a very long tiring day. I was traveling with my mom who is wheelchair bound and had booked the only handicapped assessable room with a roll in shower. After reading several reviews here concerning handicapped rooms being given away, I called the hotels two weeks in advance to make sure that there would be no issues with them giving away my room. The woman on the phone assured me that doesn't happen and actually assigned the two rooms I had reserved and told me they were adjoining. So imagine my surprise when I arrived at the hotel and was told that my handicapped room was given away because a guest extended their stay. My first question was how were they allied to extend when the hotel had that room booked for the night. The woman at the front desk told me that rooms are on a "request" basis only and they try to accommodate but there is no guarantee. My response- so I book at specific room type but I have to cross my fingers that you'll assign me that room. I can see special requests but a specific room type?". She then went on to tell me that I'm booked on a friends and family rate and honors points so they can bump me. At this point, my brother comes in and I tell him what is happening. My anger is growing and I was not the nicest or most patient person. The woman at the front desk started calling hotels and after several phone calls she booked me at a competitor....at a much higher room rate. She picked up one room and I had to now pay full price for the second at double the price of what I booked at the Hampton. So...moral of the story- Trust Trip Advisor reviews. I had a "gut" feeling that this could happen and I should have booked somewhere else. Also..if you are in need of assessable rooms, Hampton's are not the best choice.
Rooms were clean, staff was friendly and responsive, continental breakfast was well kept, with a variety of options and clean. Comfortable stay at this hotel for me and my Family. Quick Check in and Check out.
hotel is next to a graveyard, has no kitchen, so if you arrive at night you have to walk through graveyard (no footpath by road) to get to a diner. unfortunately the diner/dive bar kitchen closes early, so the only other food available if on foot is a gas station, for a dry hot dog.
We have stayed here before when we drive from NY back to KS. There were both good & bad points on this visit. The staff was friendly & very nice. We booked a room with a whirlpool & that was a very nice feature. The hotel in general was worn. The carpets in the hallway were dirty & stained. They were short on bath towels in the room & no washcloths. The breakfast was lacking. No hot eggs. When I asked about it she said there are hard boiled eggs. Overall, this was not up to the standards of most other Hampton Inns. The price is average compared to others hotels; a little more than some others.
We spent one night here. The room was a good size and the bed was comfortable. The room was clean and came with a small microwave. There was an average size indoor pool that stayed open until midnight. There was cold water and coffee in the lobby all the time. Breakfast was provided in the morning and included: waffles, pastries, oatmeal, juices, some type of omelet and sausage patties. The hotel was easy off/on to the interstate.
The staff was very nice and friendly. The room that I occupied was in desperate need of renovations. The carpet and furniture needs to be put in the dumpster immediately. Wifi was nonexistent and the parking lot needs more lighting. I am a devoted Hilton Honors member, but when I see properties like this I get leery and start questioning the brand.
