I stayed here last night and it was a very nice stay. I was in a pinch to find something and came across Lexington and was very happy with my choice. The people were friendly and helpful the room was really nice for how much it cost and the continental breakfast was enjoyable. If I ever need to stop over for a night or two, this definitely will be at the top of my list.
We stayed at the lexington april 7 to 8 check in was super easy i used Expedia and save a ton. Lots of parking the motel is very close to everything restaurants and shopping its right beside applebees which we had a really good dinner there. The Room was cozy actually a little smaller then im used to but it was clean and seem to be a little updated but could use a little more. The carpets looked old and the decor well it was 90s cheap looking and a very small tv. It did have a mini fridge and microwave and the washroom was clean and updated no sign of mold. They did offer continental breakfast we went down sunday morning at 730 and a group pretty much cleaned it out but i think the guy working the front desk was to busy on his phone to be conserned to refill the breakfast station so we ate elsewhere. That large group stayed on are floor by our room and the walls were thin you could hear everything kids running up and down the halls making all kinds of noise untill 1130pm the motel front desk girl did her best to try and calm the situation but when the parents didnt care what the kids where doing it was really hard for her i do commend her on her efforts. I do admit i called 5 hotels in the area to try to get a rebooking because we really needed sleep but everything was booked up. Once the madness stopped we did have a good sleep the beds were really comfortable although the pillows suck they really really suck there so cheap and thin so bring your own. A couple negatives no safe there also was no lock or screen on the window and the door didnt have a secondary chain or bar lock only the dead bolt key lock. Another thing was the smell of commercial room sanitizer it really was strong you can smell it as soon as you walk in the motel. If your looking for a 1 or 2 night stay and arnt concerned about a pool or other ammenities its a good place i would recommend others but if its affordable and just a place to crash then look no further.
I traveled with my family. I called ahead and said I would arrive 1:00 am and the staff offered me a discount price which is nice. I was pleasantly surprised by the room. Spacious, clean and comfortable. My only negative is the breakfast. I would stay here again!
Easy to access from the airport, right beside a restaurant, within .5 miles of many more restaurants, the room was very clean and seemed to be newly renovated. Most of the rooms were full, but it was very quiet. Our only disappointment was the breakfast. It really is minimalist. The coffee was good and there was real cream, butter and orange juice, and it was included in the rate. Parking was free.....something you don't get downtown. Staff were friendly and efficient.
We are a Retired couple and arrived at 5pm and they gave us a room on the second floor beside the stairway and overlooking the road. I questioned the front desk about any noise from the dining room directly below us or the stairway. He told me that I wouldn’t hear anything. At 12:30 in the morning some drunk or stoned man(child) was running up and down the hall yelling Steve Steve Steve and then laughing over and over again. Not once did the hotel do anything about it even after 10 minutes of this. Then at 3:30 in the morning some rude and ignorant lady( obviously not) started yelling at her young child who was screaming and running down the hall. Again nobody from the hotel did anything. Never will we stop here again on our way to Florida. Dennis Rennie.
As others have stated, this is a basic hotel which I don't think is suited for long stays although the rates are reasonable for the area which make it attractive financially. It is located in a rather congested commercial section of the city which offers many dining and shopping options close by but also subjects it to a lot of traffic noise if your room is located on the street side. This was a two day stay for me and I chose a suite (king size bed) rather than a regular room. I found the hotel clean in general and my specific room clean as well, although there were issues with the functionality of some room equipment. The bathroom was clean and modern; the carpet was adequate. The furniture was dated but functional. The AC/heater worked well and appeared fairly new. The bed was very comfortable and Internet service was very good. I did have issues with some equipment. The TV received only one channel, DayStar. Additionally, the remote control for the TV did not work and I had to search for other channels using the controls on the TV itself. However, this turned out to be a search in vain as no other channels could be found. The room phone could not make local calls. Yes, I have a cell phone but it was not working correctly because I had issues with my US plan operating in Canada. I wanted to call for a pizza but every time I used the room phone all I could get to was the front desk. The front desk clerk helped as best they could but we were unable to resolve the issue so I ended up just going out. The outside window curtain could not be pulled tight enough to guarantee privacy. My room was on the first floor, street side, surrounded by the main parking area. Upon arrival I had pulled the curtains closed but when I went outside to go to dinner and walked by the outside of my room I noticed there was about a one inch slit that provided visual access to the room for anyone that was walking by. When I returned to the room I noticed that the curtain mechanism was pulled tight and there was no way to get the two edges of the curtain tight enough to provide complete privacy. Luckily the window had a wide sill and so I overlapped the curtains by hand and then set the coffee maker on top of the sill to hold the curtains in place. Had I not been able to do this I would have requested another room. The hotel does seem to do well at muffling noise however it sits fairly close to the street and because there is a lot of traffic that noise was noticeable in the room. Traffic subsides dramatically at night but request a room on the other side of the hotel if traffic noise bothers you. I could not really assess room noise because I don't believe the rooms on either side of me were occupied. I did hear the people across the hall pretty easily when they had their door open or were standing in the hall talking normally. Overall, the hotel was quiet even though it appeared to be pretty full. I wouldn't necessarily seek this hotel out again for another stay, however if my needs were similar I wouldn't avoid it either.
Stayed in the hotel before a show in Detroit, great, clean hotel for a very reasonable price near many stores and restaurants. Even offered 10% in Swiss Chalet near by. Would definitely stay again. Parking is free, helpful staff.
This is a small, very clean and basic hotel. The rooms are clean, the bed is great and the aircon is very effective. The location is very good, close to everything. First time I saw a pancake machine....LOL...I would recommend this place for an overnight stay..
As soon as we entered the lobby and I saw the old, disgusting, dingy, carpeting I knew this was going to be a one time - one night only stay. The front desk person didn't know anything about the area. We were only asking typical questions like where can we find a bank, good restaurant, etc and all she could tell us is that she could google it. Heck - I can do that on my own. The rooms was small but clean - but the old carpeting is such a turn off - I didn't take my shoes off. Breakfast was minimal. Can't say I would recommend this place to anyone.
1.We asked for clean towels and they said they only have one clean towel left and ended up giving us a BATH MAT! 2.Tub drain full of hair and wouldn't drain. My husband had to buy Draino at like 11@ night. Black guck all over. 3. Breakfast-eww! Saw the plastic bag the bagels were in and saw the 50%label which means they bought the ones that are cheap and close to expiry...or should I say expired. The bagels were moldy. 4. One of the bed sheaths has some brown stains on it. 5. Saw the housekeeper use a MOP to clean the CARPETED stairs. 6. We mentioned it to the front desk...and gave us a $20 discount. WOW! *pro: close to Restaurants.
