From the minute we entered until we left, the staff was very friendly and helpful. The young man on the front desk even helped us with bridge and tunnel information. The breakfast offering was good. The bed was comfortable. The location great. What else could you ask for?? I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone. Thank you all.
Marie .She's my go to for booking rooms whilst in for business. Booking multi rooms for my crew. An she ALWAYS. Makes it happen. Marie thank u very much. Again Have a great may long weekend. Play safe everyone. ChrisP
The room was clean and up to date and the bed was very good. The staff was very helpful .The breakfast was not bad foe breakfast. The room was under renovation so sitting was not possible, but the room would be finished soon. Overall a good stay and would definitely stay again.
At first the hotel seemed decent. The staff are really friendly and helpful. We had an "updated" room. The bed is really comfortable but there is no way it's queen size. More like a double which made sleeping tricky for my boyfriend and I as we couldn't move much without disrupting each other so we woke up rather sore and stiff. Noise is a big issue. Our room faced a major intersection and ramp and was also located directly across from the ice and vending machines so we got to listen to them humming away all night. A couple rooms full of loud drunk women frequented the machines multiple times between midnight and 4am. Another guest locked himself out of his room and proceeded to pound on his door and yell for twenty minutes until he was finally allowed back in. The bathroom is disgusting. Foreign hairs everywhere. Rusty tub drain and stained shower curtain. Stained wallpaper. Various areas around the room are stained and the storage closet looked like Wolverine took a swipe at the doors while unpacking. My advice is if you can get a room literally two minutes up the road at then Stonecroft Inn you'll be much happier! Unfortunately they were sold out this time around.
I am a coach for a Toronto high school basketball team. We stayed an extra night in Windsor after our OFSAA basketball championship game. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. Especially Lisa - who kept the breakfast bar open for my team past 9AM. The general manager of this Comfort Inn was also very warm - she recognized me right away, and offered her congratulations to our team for winning the championship. Even though we only stayed there for one night, we felt very well taken care of during our stay. Thank you!!!
We stayed one night for our son's hockey game. The property is basic but it provides hot and cold breakfast items. Our room was clean but it had a smoky odor. I thought it was overpriced for the accommodations and, unfortunately, I would not stay there again. Staff were pleasant and helpful.
I read the reviews that people had just written about updated rooms etc so I thought I'd try it and my usual hotel was running $180 so beyond company budget. I was happy with the comfort inn ! I booked a jacuzzi room with king bed and was very pleased. Roomy. Good bed and linens. Fan would stay on which I like for sleeping. They could use higher end toiletries and nicer / newer towels. Breakfast was quite good also ! As lobby is under construction you take the breakfast to your room but no problem. Oats, hard boil eggs, warm scrambled eggs and ham, lots of good juice, honey, fresh fruits. Waffle station. Staff were friendly. If all the rooms are updated like mine was (226) then you shouldn't be disappointed. There were a few things in the room which were not updated such as light switches which look 40 years old. I could not find HD channels on the big screen tv which was too bad.
This is a great hotel to work from. Very central to the entire Essex county area and within short distance to amenities at the end of a good day of business. Tends to be very quiet as many contractors are staying through the week as well. Two amazing pizza restaurants are within walking distance -- Arcata and Capri. Flip a coin both are unreal.
I had been using this hotel for the past three years to visit family in the area. The Hotel is outdated and some rooms have been renovated and some not. The issue with this hotel is they charge (Marketing FEE of $3.72) each night you stay. You are not obligated to pay it. I make sure it's taken off my bill every time I visit. However, recently, I had the worst 3 nights stay. One of the rooms used to be smokers, the residue is still there, if they had painted and renovated, you would not smell it, made me very sick. Then, the other room had a leak in the washroom ceiling. After couple room changes, we ended up in a room that had board heater, I think it's 40 years old, the room gets too hot and can't control it even there is control knobs which don't work. We had to turn it off to cool and turn it on to heat, so it was very unpleasant sleep. Also, some guests smoke marijuana and you can smell it, when we complained they said, well they were smoking it outside the first floor rooms. When it comes to room rates, they fluctuate depending on who they can catch as a fool. I have over heard guests complaining about the sudden change of RATE when they were confirmed certain amount. There were guests complaining about their visa being charged twice for the same room. Some guests complained about marketing fee, some complained about the 10% CAA discount they did not get. When you ask for refund , there is always discrepancies, they can't explain unless you fight tooth and nail with them. The midnight staff is rude as hell, most of them don't acknowledge you when you walk through the hallway especially on the weekends. I think it's time to STOP going there, even though it's conveniently located to my functions. I don't mind driving an extra mile from now and on, better than this run down hotel.
Very clean, it was under renovations when we were there. The downstairs lobby and continental breakfast areas were all make-shift during the renovations. Upon check in though the lady working the front desk was not the warm and friendliest. She was very short and curt with her answers.
