Visited refurbished Stanneylands... What a difference! Tastefully done...stylish and relaxing atmosphere, staff very pleasant and quality of the cream tea was 5* very rich delicious cakes so don't go if your on a diet! We sat in the new conservatory and would advise to wear something light. Weather being nice we had coffee on the non smokers terrace. Would recommend the hotel as a future venue for private parties, weddings, romantic dinners or just a very pleasant place to have something to eat.

We celebrated a friend's wedding a the Stanneylands, and it was simply fabulous from start to finish. The food was delicious, the rooms used were beautifully decorated and the staff were wonderful. I definitely recommend this venue for a wedding or special occasion.

Stayed for the rewind festival as location was excellent. Food and drinks are reasonably priced and staff very friendly. Check in was a little dissapointing as the staff member did not really explain things and got our rooms mixed up.

I cannot express enough how amazing the whole day turned out to be for my friends wedding! Stanneylands is such a beautiful place, the food was amazing, the atmosphere was amazing and the delegated member of staff to oversee the whole event was fantastic! He couldn't do enough for everyone! A massive thank you to you all involved! Cannot highly recommend this place enough!

We stayed in your hotel on Saturday night. The welcome and hospitality were all good. Our room was what we expected for the price, dinner was very nice, lovely staff had a really good evening talking with other guests. The following morning there was no hot water for our shower. We rang reception and was told that as we were below the ground floor and everyone was up at the same time you had run out of hot water. We both shower every morning without fail so we were not at all happy. When we went down for breakfast there was no one to show us to a table even though the sign asks guest to wait to be seated. My wife had to go into the breakfast room to find some one. We were told that we needed to wait as there were no tidied tables available. From then on it went from bad to worse. No clean glasses for fruit juice, no clean bowls for fruit or cereals and when we asked for some bowls we had to wait for some to be washed!!! The femail restaurant manager told us that everyone had come down for breakfast at once, obviously the staff couldn't cope. When someone arrived with some bowls my wife took one to get fruit but unfortunately it was not clean. I took it to reception to show the guy who gave us the reason for no hot water!! We both decided that we would like fried eggs for breakfast. We ordered these and then had to wait for 15 minutes for them to arrive, which they did on 2 cold side plates!! By this time the other supposedly hot food in the serving trays was now only luke warm. By this time we were very fed up. The restaurant manager knew we were not happy and not once did she come over to ask if all was well. She obviously didn't like to be asked for clean glasses and bowls when there were none. We did get a reduction made to our bill but it we would have preferred to pay in full after having a nice hot shower and a good experience in your breakfast room. All very disappointing but you did ask!!

Excellent hotel, staff were more than helpful and very friendly and professional - we had booked three rooms as we were a group of 6 going to the Rewind North Festival, all rooms were immaculate and breakfast as excellent.

Our daughter celebrated her wedding here and we cannot recommend Stanneylands highly enough. They were amazing, the staff, food, ambiance, rooms and the member of staff allocated to oversee proceedings. Thank you for such a memorable day.

Beautifully presented, comfortable hotel. We liked everything about this hotel except for noise levels. We hardly slept on our first night as a group of teenage golfers were next door and across the hall. We complained and the staff moved us the next day without fuss and moved our things to a room on another floor. Also the first room (that I believe was described as garden view) looked onto a staff car park. The staff were a bit noisy when going off shift around 10:30pm and need to be more aware/considerate of sleeping guests. Otherwise staff were friendly and efficient and the food and drinks were good.

Stayed here recently for a family wedding. The service we received was very professional from start to finish. Nothing was too much trouble and the staff were very accommodating. Lovely hotel in a beautiful setting.

We booked a last minute spontaneous night away at The Stanneylands. Wow what a gorgeous hotel. The staff are friendly and pleasant. From the initial check in, to the bar/restaurant staff to passing the maids on the corridors... The staff we're very welcoming and couldn't do enough for us. The decor of the hotel is beautiful and clean. Our room was on the first floor and was just perfect and quirky. Had everything we needed! Complimentary toiletries, tea/coffee and biscuits were a nice touch. The bed was huge and really comfy, had a great nights sleep. We decided to have tea in the restaurant/bar area as the menu looked great.... We were not dissapointed. We ordered the seafood sharer and it was delicious and it was that big we couldn't finish it. Prices in the bar were reasonable. all in all a great night away with a touch of luxury. Would reccommend to anyone who wants the visit the area.
