room was clean and bed was very comfortable,we have stayed at other hotels in the area that cost much more and were not as clean or comfortable. all staff were very friendly. excellent location to all the shops and restaurants, but far enough away to be peaceful. we will definitely stay again!!

We stopped here after a long day of traveling and looking for a place to sleep. We were pleasantly surprised how clean and comfortable our room and bed were. We stopped late but the gentleman checked us in quickly as he could tell we were tired. Gave us a room on the first floor too, I was a nice place to stay.

We stayed three weekdays in a different hotel that was going to charge us a $40 additional charge for Friday so we swapped to this place to save almost $50! The reviews were mixed so we were worried but not wanting to waste $50 ...we took a chance ...We were happy with the stay, the room was very clean, the shower ran hot for three people to shower one right another after leaving Watercountry we just needed that and were very happy! The breakfast is cereal, juice, muffins, donuts, bread, coffee etc ...no waffle machine but for the savings in room rates ...I didn't care! This motel is 15 minutes from Busch Gardens and nowhere else on the weekend... during peak season was offering $80 rooms. I would stay again.

I reserved a stay at Econolodge pottery July 9th-12 in Williamsburg, VA. I checked in at 3:30 pm on July 9th. The room had an overwhelming chemical smell that I thought would clear by turning on the air. Nothing worked, it actually was strong enough to put me to sleep. At 6:15 pm I made a decision to check out of the hotel because the smell was causing me respiratory issues. The Manager refused to refund my hotel fee which was already charged to my bank. I drove from Columbia, SC to accompany my daughter during a camp at the College of William and Mary so my budget was really tight. I had to come up with additional funds to stay locally in the area through July 12th. Do not stay at this hotel!! Management is greedy. All the owner/manager is concerned with is money. He never really made eye contact with me or apologized for the matter. I have a dispute filed through my bank and I can't believe this Manager is still holding out on refunding my money.

I decided to drive 250 miles back home from Virginia Beach, by myself, around 10:30 to avoid traffic and 50 miles in, I ran into a horrible storm. I could not see anything and had to stop in the middle of the interstate. After a couple attempts to keep going, I had to call it quits.I found this hotel right before midnight. One thing I will say, it was confusing to actually find someone to check me in. It is very easy to go past the window you have to do the registration through. I went straight to the lobby door, saw it was locked, and rang the door bell beside it and saw no activity. I then called their phone number to ensure someone was there. They were, and said I had to come to the other window, and ring that bell...okay, besides all of that, check in was easy. The room was $70 including tax. The shower made a few odd noises after I used it, like the water did not cut off all the way, but overall, the room was clean and did the job. The next morning I checked out breakfast: not much. I got a cup of orange juice and was on my way.

I will start off by saying our room was very clean and comfortable. Then our daughter got stuck in the bathroom. We learned quickly not to shut the door if we wanted to get out. Good thing she was not someone staying alone! No coffee pot or hair dryer in the room. Breakfast was toast, mini donut packets, or cereal with lukewarm milk. My first thought was that this is what $50 looks like compared to the $80 Comfort Inns we had stayed at earlier in the week. But the following night we stayed at another $50 Econo Lodge in PA and had the coffee pot, dryer, waffles, fruit, etc. overall, not a bad place to stay. Just know what your expectations are first.

VERY rude staff. Paid for a week and was shorted a night. Front desk clerk said we don't give concessions, I didn't ask for a concession, just what I paid for. There are so many hotels in Williamsburg and we unfortunately picked this one, won't happen again. Front desk said thank you when I said that we would not recommend his hotel. Breakfast consisted of toast, that's it, just toast.

Was looking for a clean, reasonably priced room for a night after an afternoon at York River State Park. This place was not bad. Clean, friendly management and pool was clean. Just far enough down the road from restaurants and The Pottery to be a nice, quiet location.

I had my doubts, we were in Williamsburg for a Mountain Bike race and I worried about what a 50$ motel would be like. The manager (not sure if owner) takes sooooo much pride in this place. The plantings around it were beautiful. The pool was clean and well maintained. The room was cleaner then the Marriot I paid $177 for in Charlottesville, VA the week before. This place is clean, great value. Close to everything. York River State Park, Colonial Williamsburg, and William and Mary. I am used to staying in higher end hotels as we love to travel. If I ever revisit Williamsburg, this is the only place I will stay. Also Richmond Road where it is located has a ton of great restaurants for all tastes and budgets.

I was truly disgusted at the service rendered here. The man of this family ran business had the worst attitude that any possible business owner could have. He obviously didn't like the fact that I booked this hotel through another source. He in turn told me that i didn't have a reservation as if he wanted me to leave, when in fact, I saw my information on his computer screen. I let him know, I CAN SEE MY INFORMATION ON YOUR COMPUTER SCREEN. He became annoyed and began to scream and become more unruly than before. He hesitantly checked us in. Next order of business: the rooms are in need of, not a little but a LOT of TLC. The continental breakfast is non existent (well, it was there but not really); and the pool is behind the building in this wooded area where you are subject to excessive bug invasions. The location from the actual Williamsburg area is not appealing and the room service was lower than minimal. I believe this property needs to be thoroughly inspected and the owners needs to attend a "business etiquette" class. After all, we were patronizing there business!!!! #disappointedandiwantarefund #Tbabyneveragain #needscustomerservicelessons
