Worst Hotel Stay – Completely Unacceptable
I hate to say this, but this was honestly the worst hotel stay I’ve ever experienced. From the moment we arrived, it was a disaster.
At check-in, the front desk agent, Empress, was either unwilling or unable to help. I stood at the front desk for nearly an hour while she repeatedly ignored me, looked past me, and assisted other guests instead. When she finally engaged, she offered no real solutions.She just kept saying I don’t have any other rooms and this room is not big enough for a roll out bed, that’s it. We were stuck there. At this point I would be happy if she offered me 10 pillows and 5 blankets to make a bed for my child on the floor, but she didn’t even do that….
We were placed in an accessible room on the first floor (Room 112) with no view, we asked for a higher floor, with only one double bed and no pull-out couch. I was traveling with two children, and this setup made absolutely no sense. This left us with the unacceptable choice of either leaving to find another hotel on New Year’s Eve or having someone sleep on the floor.
Ultimately, my 7-year-old had to sleep on chair cushions on the floor, covered with my jacket, because the hotel provided only one very thin blanket and she was cold. The bathroom had absolutely NO soap, shampoo or conditioner. I asked them to bring some, 3 hours later I had to call again and ask again since they “forgot“ All this is completely unacceptable under any circumstance
