This hotel is very great place. Its rooms are spacious staffs are excellent and you will get a fast service.Room 201 shower is having some problem apart from that all our rooms was excellent.Front office manager Sreenath Kovilakath is a great person he helped us in all our days special thanks to him.
Nice clean room with all amenities needed. Receptionist were friendly but not very helpful - they didn't explain where our rooms where or anything that was close by. Handy walking location to most hubs in the city. Don't confuse it with the one across the road with a similar name though!
As some others mentioned, the water pressure of the shower was terrible. We informed the hotel after our first night and they moved us from the 6th to the 5th storey and the pressure was only marginally better. Disappointingly, our second room was in a worse state than the first in terms of maintenance; with one window clip broken, the window could not be shut completely so we had a bit of street noise and chill coming in. The hotel has a good location, however, which explains why it gets 3 stars instead of 2.
Upon arrival on 2/June/17, the Indian receptionist was unfriendly. I asked for a paid car park, he said the car park was fully booked all weekend which I really doubted. Asked another non-Indian staff the next day, and she said car park was available on 5/June/17. On that night I parked at 9PM, and found there were 6 empty car parks there. Clearly the Indian receptionist was unfaithful, lying and probably would not willing to give the park to me because I am not a KIWI!! Poor poor poor poor!!!
Clean, tidy and comfortable room. Just perfect if they have microwave inside the room. 24 hours reception. Parking is limited (or maybe I don't know 🤷♀️). Bathroom is so nice 👍🏻. The beds are comfy and the heater worked purrrrrfectly.
I'm currently staying here and will check out over the weekend! One thing I find appalling is the attitude of the people working here. Communicating with some of them was a problem. To be specific, the lady on duty this morning (Wednesday 17, 2017) has terrible attitude issues. Even though she tends to talk softly, her manners stinks. I had a good experience with the guys who checked me in on the night of Monday 15, 2017. They were quite helpful and friendly. One thing is certain, I won't make the mistake of staying here again no matter how many weeks I'd be in Wellington. Thanks
Very affordable and i was impressed at the quality for a budget price. The water pressure was not good but for passing through it was good enough. The view was good and staff helpful. We will stay again. Oh, the bed was very comfortable.
My room had a limited view of the hotel's backside. Furnishings were simple but more than adequate; bathroom quite modern. Heat, more than adequate. A small Four Square store is across from the hotel. The hotel's breakfast is good. Front desk staff were helpful. Wifi did seem to come to a halt for a while, nightly, about 9 pm. The Willis Wellington's location is convenient to restaurant-laden Cuba Street, but overall not ideal for people relying on Wellington's bus system, who might prefer to look for something near the main spine of the Wellington bus system, from the rail and bus station to Courtenay Place. Apart from a few minor issues, such as slightly wrinkled carpeting in a corridor, the hotel is in very good condition. It was a good budget place to stay.
Not great not terrible. A good reasonably central option that won't break the bank if you need a bed. The staff were efficient and friendly. The rooms were tidy if a little tired. The wifi was a good speed.
This was a business trip! Our conference was on level 1, The room looked clean and tidy. We arrived an settled in. We did not have dinner in the hotel, in fact we did not have any meals in the hotel at all! The cost for breakfast was quite expensive, did not look that great looking at the photos. We went to places that was recommended to us. I found that sheets were not replaced, but just pulled up and tidied. The bathroom rubbish had not been taken away! So I made sure it all went into the bin in the room to ensure it was taken. I found it unbelievable that their were no toilet facilities available downstairs once the dining room had been locked and no one could use the facilities, Why lock the dining room??? Other toilet facilities were upstairs on level one! and you had to walk up stairs, they did not have the lifts working, they had stopped them. I noticed one lady who was struggling to get her and her partners luggage to the rooms. Front Desk said just put it on the trolley, did not even help! The lady found it a struggle to even get it into the lift to take it up to the room. It was a 10% surcharge to use your credit card. I was really not impressed with this hotel, I will not be going back!
