Friendly and helpful staff. Nice room with kitchenette. Good location.

Positives: Location, views, staff, cleanliness, quiet. Negatives: Smells of perfume coming thru the HVAC.

Wonderful accommodations, friendly and helpful staff and an overall great experience!

Very close to major government offices. Close to the city center. Very friendly staff. Rooms are relatively small but comfortable.

I booked a room with city & garden view for 2 nights but the room had no view as you're facing a building and no garden view at all. I talked to the staff about but they didn't care... For them, building view is same as city view... Anyway, I received a complimentary welcome drink between 5 - 6 pm for the following day due to late check in the first day. I arrived at 6:06 pm but the time was over for the complimentary welcome drink!!! Finally after discussion, I got a glass of house's wine that was for me impossible to drink. I asked to change the glass of wine for a beer and the answer was no because I already had an exception to get served at 6:06 pm. Drink or leave was the final answer !!! Really unbelievable to hear... It's so far away from hospitality which is the basis of this job... Also poor maintenance as big lack of water when you take a shower... If you want to keep you hair dry during shower, isn't the place to stay.... At check out, I explained my disappointed to the manager on duty but didn't hear me...

The hotel and the staff were nice, the room was comfortable and overall I enjoyed my stay

Boulton is located a little bit away from stores but close enough to walk to the waterfront. Room was very small. Breakfast was a disappointment & wakeup call was an hour early.

beautiful hotel, modern and amazing facilities. Front desk very helpful and kind. Restaurant staff inattentive and unwilling to help, even with restaurant almost empty; bill was incorrect due to staff error and when asked to rectify, staff attitude disrespectful to guest; 45 minutes to receive two boiled eggs. For a hotel which strives for excellence in customer service, this is unacceptable.

Good Morning, Many thanks for your review of Bolton Hotel. I'm so glad you enjoyed your stay with us. We're so fortunate to have some amazing views of the Thorndon Hills, especially being in a city centre location. Apologies if we were a little overzealous with the air freshener on this occasion, our housekeeping team are actively looking for alternatives. We hope to welcome you back to Bolton Hotel again soon. Kind regards,
