Distinction Wellington Century City Hotel

Convenient location with parking. The room was adequate although a little on the tired side - just little things - stained bed spread, housekeeping failed to replenish shower wash and vanity kit etc - I was staying 3 nights and was not asking for towels to be replaced daily so was on 'GREEN ALERT. Carpet quite stained and some little cleaning aspects needed attention. Some road noise at seventh-floor level but for the inner city, it was not too bad. Front desk staff are efficient but not personable. Lots of eating houses in close proximity. Yes i would stay again but not at full price.

Amazing rooms separate bedroom from the lounge and separate bathroom toilet - facilities in the unit included full size oven with ceramic hotplates - full family size fridge with separate freezer - dish washer - washing drying machine in the bathroom - large colour TV in the lounge - extremely clean in fact it looked like a doctor's or dentist rooms very clean hygienic everything is either stainless steel or chrome plated

We found the suit to be very clean, tidy and quiet. Although on the street we didn't hear much street noice which was good. Staff seemed nice enough although we didn't have much interaction with them.

Absolutely no complaints with this room. I stayed for 2 nights for business and was very happy with this overall. I had a one bedroomed apartment which was huge! Check in staff were very friendly. Great location 👍🏼

Have stayed at the Distinction Wellington a couple of times now for both business and leisure. The location is the huge selling point for me, being right in the central city, close to restaurants, bars and public transport. Do love the fact rooms come with a small, functional kitchenette and HAVE CUTLERY (number of times I've been caught out before is embarrassing!). The rooms have on occasion not been the cleanest (e.g. stray hairs in the bathroom), but for cost, overall comfort and convenience, it's not a major issue.

We were very happy with this hotel/serviced apartment. Nice check in staff, good room with a balcony. Microwave, fridge, dishwasher etc in the room. A good shower over the bath with hot water and good pressure. It was clean, tidy and the hotel is in a good location.

On arrival my mother and I were greeted by two reception ladies who were very helpful and pleasant. Our room wasn't to our liking as there was only a queen bed so we asked to have a room with separate beds. We were given a suite with two bedroom. The suite was fabulous - very clean, and had everything we needed, also if you like coffee, they had a coffee machine (pod), plunger or instant and all sorts of tea. Plenty of towels which were lovely and warm as it had a heated towel rail, soap shampoo etc. Very close to central city and shopping. We were to late to order in-service breakfast as there a cut off time (9.30pm) so in the morning we asked the day reception staff (a young man this time) if he could recommend a place for breakfast, he was also very nice and courteous and polite. It's a great hotel which is nearly new and is lovely and clean, a central place to stay which I would definately recommend.

Stayed in 1 Bedroom City View Apartment. Pros: Great view of the town. Two balconies. Well equipped kitchen Good water pressure Large fridge Cons: Not so friendly staff at the reception. Aged furniture (dining chairs and couch).

This hotel is rated as a 4 star but I think it is more like a 3. The only good part was the location. The rooms are poky with stained carpet and a hard/lumpy bed. We were also unlucky enough to have a group of rowdy 20 something's on the same floor. They yelled up and down the hallway from about 10pm until 2am on Friday and Saturday night. I know that's not necessarily the hotels fault but the tiled hallways and heavy noisy doors didn't help the situation. I won't be staying here again

This hotel is centrally located right in the heart of Wellington, only a few minutes from the quay, museums and shops - ideal. Night life, restaurants al around. What you get is a modern stainless kitchenette with cooker, oven, microwave dishwasher and a washer drier. Absolutely superb. The apartment had a separate double bedroom with a single in one corner of the lounge. The quality of the furnishings is excellent. The apartment is fully serviced daily and nothing is to much trouble from the wonderful cleaning staff who were all great. Breakfast is buffet style made by your self from items left. A fridge full of supplies is replenished daily and everything is there, cereal etc. I did a cooked breakfast two mornings and the cooker hood was brilliant no smell in the apartment. This is a great place to stay and would stay here again if returning to Wellington
