so central, nothing a problem for the staff, roomy and spacious, great deal very good value for money would definitely stay here again. Good advice on where to go. called taxis for us. Great way to spend my dads 80th in wellington. well done City Life wellington
Friendly helpful & efficient staff. I stayed in a one bedroom and it was comfortable & warm. The bathroom was extremely small. It is centrally located in Wellington on Lambton Quay so close to everything (walking distance). The one big let down is that it is dark and in serious need of redecorating! There is also no restaurant bar area but you are surrounded by wonderful cafes, restaurants and bars so it should not be an issue.
Stayed at the CityLife for 2 nights for business. I was upgrqaded to the 'director suites - up the stairs from reception. Very large 2 bedroom/2 bathroom apartment with a nice ambience. (Seemed to be close to a rain water drain - so there wa drip noise - you my like to viod room 702) . Everything was clean and functional (and there was plenty of hot water). The beds were very comfortable and I had no problems sleeping. The breakfast was continental only, but there was plenty of food and great service. The location is great as others have mentioned – close to everything with easy access to Lambton Quay.
We stayed at City Life a well positioned hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful. We were able to check in early without to much fuss. Because of the hotels location we were within walking distance to the sights. The waterfront, Te Papa, the Cable Car was a minutes walk from the front door of the hotel. We highly recommend City Life Wellington and would stay again.
Treated ourselves to a long weekend staying at the CityLife Wellington. We are arrived very early indeed at around 11 in the morning and were immediately accommodated by the very welcoming desk manager. We stayed in one of the Executive suites, with it's own Kitchen, sitting room and diner. It was extremely comfortable and the bed was a treat to sleep in!!! CityLife is at the heart of the city and gives you immediate access to all the sites of Wellington!!! Go ahead spoil yourself, we did!!!
We stayed here for a anniversary weekend and was well looked after. The room was spacious and had all amentities. CityLife Wellington is in the middle of town and within easy walking distance to Cuba Street and other great attractions.
Stayed in CityLife Wellington many times. Good winter price and 1 bedroom units are very roomy. View is non-existent in room 512 but better than the rooms looking over Lampton Quay which are noisy. I agree the hotel is looking a little bit tired, but still acceptable at the winter rates. My only criticism would be the lights in room 512 where overpowering. There were around 7 lights in the lounge area and several more in the kitchen/dining room. There were no table lamps available in the lounge room. I did ask if one could be made available on my first night but none was forthcoming. Also Internet speed is straight out of medieval times. I tested it day one and it was 0.24Mbps, I tried the following day and got 1 Mbps. Not really good enough for work purposes. I was advised by the reception staff that it depends how many people are using it, that's probably true but it's time to upgrade the Internet. Bed very comfy and maybe a few more Sky channels, not a lot of choice compared to other hotels in NZ.
We had a wonderful stay at CityLife Wellington. We stayed two different times and each time, they surprised us with an upgrade to an apartment and the staff could not have been more helpful and welcoming. The hotel was centrally located to shopping and the Te Papa Museum and a few galleries, an easy walking distance. Our accomodations were clean and well maintained. thank you
We had a family weekend to celebrate a milestone birthday. Reception were very obliging in arranging rooms to be side by side, with one of he rooms having a large lounge area. Location is great for girls shopping, and easy access for children related activities. Cable car trip was a thrill for the grandchildren, as well as catching the bus to the Zoo. Will definitely stay here again
Friendly staff, and my booking was upgraded to the most awesome 2 bedroom apartment. The very best place I've ever stayed. The location is fabulous and easy to find. I submitted a feedback card and even got a response. Highly recommend.
