CityLife Wellington

The central location of the hotel enhances the accessibility of the things you’d want to do in Wellington, making most activities, bars and restaurants within walking distance. Notably the cable-car is a 30 second walk from the hotel and once atop, is a world away from the life experienced at sea level where the hotel is. Also within walking distance of the water which plays host to a myriad of great restaurants, significantly the Bier Cafe where tasty schnitzels and the like can be found. The room was very well presented and offered plenty of space so that a family of four isn’t on top of each other any of the time. All-round a fantastic hotel with a well-equipped gym.

The hotel was our first stop in New Zealand. It was very conveniently located in the center of town and within easy walking distance of attractions, stores and restaurants. The staff was very friendly and helpful and made our transition from the U. S. to New Zealand very comfortable. The room was spacious and clean with all the amenities of an efficiency apartment. We would definitely stay there again if we come back to Wellington.

City Life Wellington Hotel has perfect location in the middle of City, waking distains to beach, restaurants, shopping centre, kable car, and information canter. 30 minutes from airport. Two bedroom apartament with kitchen plus washing machine and dishwasher give you comfort for long stay. Two queen beds very comfortable. Room service on high standard. Breakfast could be better and more variety. During 13 days stay no changes on breakfast menu. Hotel management very helpful and professional.

The rooms are large and location is very convenient. The pickup/drop off entrance is not on lambton quay, but on the back end of the hotel so you need to know the address in order to direct your driver.

Excellent central location close to all shops. Access to the parking and reception by car is interesting, it's at the back of the hotel. Helpful staff throughout. Breakfast was adequate and facilities in the room were superb

My husband & I stayed for one night on our stopover between the North & South islands. The room was clean, comfortable, quite spacious, and reasonably quiet for a central location. The staff were friendly and helpful. The only downside was finding our way there whilst driving a hire car in a city we'd never been to before; maps got us to the correct street, but you can't see the hotel from the start of street and there are no signs that mention the hotel's name at the start of the street, so we were unsure if we were in the correct place or not. Anyway, after a phone call we were pointed in the right direction and all was good. The car park itself is not secure or undercover either, but we had no problems.

We booked and paid for a studio apartment so imagine our delight and surprise to enter our room and find a HUGE one bedroom apartment! We were very grateful and appreciative indeed. Check in was quick and easy, car parking was an extra $23 which we knew about but the car park was nice and close so all good there. Staff were happy and friendly, always a good start. Our room was massive, we could live in this apartment quite easily. It had a full kitchen, a washing machine and drier, ample seating in the lounge/dining area, great view out over Lambton Quay, a comfortable bed and a small ensuite with a toilet and wash basin attached to the bedroom. A very well appointed apartment, though showing its vintage (90s I'd guess) in places. Being able to take the elevator down to Lambton Quay was a nice bonus, made it easy to walk around town. We did not eat here so I cannot comment on the food, nor did we use the WiFi. Our bedroom faced out onto Lambton Quay, we didn't hear any pedestrian noise (it was a Friday night) but we did hear street cleaners and various other industrial vehicles in the early hours of the morning. Once these had done their thing and moved on we were able to sleep peacefully again, right through to 8am! I would definitely stay here again,

Stayed her for work, place was very nice rooms were clean and beds were comfortable had kitchen facilities and also a great lounge suite to relax after a long day... Location was good also it was in a position to all main attractions and great shopping The only down fall with this place was the breakfast it was not so great... and room service food was not available... also the heating was a little weak as it was so cold in Wellington Aside from this I recommend City life as it was clean and located well

The City Life is located in the centre of Wellington very close to the cable car, also an easy walk to TePapa and for those interested in seeing their politicians at work it is an easy stroll to Parliament House. All staff that we encountered during our stay(including housekeeping) were extremely polite and friendly. The suite that we had was spacious and sound proof. the bed was very, very comfortable and quality linen was provided. We enjoyed our stay very much and actually extended our stay to a fifth night. We will certainly be staying at the City Life on our next trip to Wellington and will be recommending City Life to our friends and family. Bob & Mandy Brisbane

I had never been to Wellington before so I had no idea about the location of this hotel. So I was pleasantly surprised to find we were in the heart of things, but the room itself was very quiet. We had an apartment with a kitchen and laundry. There was a supermarket about 3 doors down, which was perfect. The apartment was clean, spacious and comfortable. The staff were always helpful. We would have no hesitation in returning there again.
