I have stayed at the Brentwood multiple times when travelling to Wellington. It's close to the airport, great car parking, and very reasonable rates. Rooms are clean and tidy. Staff on reception have already been helpful and it was great to be able to store bags before we flew out so we could sight see without all our luggage.
Although I can't criticise the service that we did get at the Brentwood for our all day conference, I was disappointed that we were not offered wifi as part of the conference package. With 40 people attending it would have been nice to have this service as Wellington airport offer it as part of their package. We also tried charging dinner and breakfast to our company account - only to be told that this was not possible, forcing one member to charge everything to her credit card. This process did take 3 hours however, as they only had one person at the counter when they usually have two. Also, guests only get 100Mb of data free in their rooms after which you must pay. For the price paid for the rooms, I would expect it to be free or at least 1Gb!
Stayed here at the start of a 5 day road trip of the north island with a group friends, found the place had at we needed and was handie to everything , rated this at number 3 on our trip, then we moved on to Masterton
I don't normally stay in Hotels, but this was a treat for me. Very nice reception area, bar and pool area. Good sized room with a view of the ocean. 5-10min drive to the airport, which they have a free shuttle bus. Had a meal in the restaurant, which was very nice.
stayed here for a few weeks with work. I love how each room opens up to an outdoor area. Loved the pool. The restaurant was inconsistent with the dinner meals but the buffet breakfast was always 10/10. Heaps of parking and close amenities. I'd stay here again.
Identified this hotel online from Australia as meeting our needs for a couple of days. 5 minutes from Wellington airport and they have a very efficient courtesy vehicle. Dedicated phones in arrivals hall of the airport ensured we would be picked up within 15 minutes, and we were! The hotel is within walking distance to the Kilbirnie shopping precinct in the suburb of the same name. Supermarkets, specialty shops - they are all there. Although the hotel is dated we found it very comfortable. We had room 609 on the ground floor. The room was enormous. Two queen size beds. The ensuite showed signs of recent upgrades. Room furniture showed signs of damage on the edges ( vacuum cleaner or suitcase knocks). We were affected by a party of school children staying in the upstairs rooms. The upstairs floors are wood. Children being children they had to run everywhere. Like a herd of elephants but hey they are kids, no big deal. In house dining offers breakfast, a light snack at lunch and a full menu for dinner. 24hr room service is also available. Small allowance of free WiFi available then $5.00 for more. A week after this stay we were back to stay another night.
We stayed here one night as part of the Tour of NZ bike race. I wouldn't stay again. On the up side our room was spacious and had a door out to the carpark as well as to the hotel so we really didn't have to go into the hotel part except for check in and check out. On the down side, the room is well worn and linens not good. One of us came away with a lot of bites around the ankles. The bathroom was very tired. No free wifi. And we asked for a late check out, were flatly refused but later when we came to a meeting at the nearby school (about 7 hours later) the room was still empty. The photo on the TA review page makes it look smart. It is not. Lots of aircraft noise too. Wellington CBD is not that far away from the airport so just stay somewhere nice.
Entirely satisfactory accommodations with shuttle to airport 24 hours a day. Our room had a door driectly to the outside and another that went to the hotel hallways. Good food, decent bar, enthusiastic staff. A downtown shopping area is within walking distance.
Not an easy place to find. We were given the shortened name of some streets to get there. We had no idea of knowing this and got lost. Our room was in need of some plumbing maintenance. The taps were back to front - cold where it should have been hot and vice versa. The shower taps were loose and there was no water pressure to speak of. Out internet kept cutting out and had expired that night and not as per the information sheet we were given. We told the staff our issues and they thanked us very much for that. Not happy at all.
It was a very Nice room very tidy with all you need. Very reasonable rates for nights stay. Nice food available for room service at reasonable price. Great location close to airport, provide a great and timely shuttle service from airport,
