Very high standard of service nothing was too much trouble. Upgraded to a Club room and was worth the extra with a beautiful lounge - breakfast, afternoon tea and drinks/canapés all served here. Room was decent size & well equipped. Great location near the water and just 2 minutes from cable car. Wish we could have stayed longer!

This is an amazing place to stay. What you would expect of ICH really. Lovely decor and rooms. Great location. One of the best room services we have had so far. Would highly recommend it. Would go back again. Staff are friendly and helpful.

from when we stepped out of the Taxi, we were greeted and treated like we were the only people at the hotel, staff are fantastic the concierge guys were great and if you go on first impressions these guys step the bar pretty high. when we go back to Wellington we will be staying here. when your in Wellington make sure you go to Whitebait for dinner and Logan Brown. down side to staying at the inter Continental it is way to close to the shops and my wife loved every spare second.

It went beyond my expectations. Perfectly located in the city center, it has been recently refurbished. Staff is everywhere yet so discrete. Ready to assist at anytime before you still need something. Lobby is elegant and bar is always a vibrant point of meeting. Rooms are so enticing: great and relaxing colour scheme, nice ambience, brand new furnitures. Bed super comfortable and nice sofa close by window. Loved the bathroom with huge rain forest shower. Amenities by Agraria San Francisco. Really the best place in Wellington. It will be my first choice for my next Wellington trip.

Stayed two nights and wish it could have been longer. The staff are absolutely superb all of them, and are a credit to the hotel. Room was very clean and comfortable, perhaps one little moan here, how about some English Breakfast tea bags. A fantastic couple of days in a great hotel with great staff

Stayed for one night as part of a weekend away. As usual everything was to a high standard. Foyer area has had a few changes since I last stayed which makes the bar area more seperate from foyer. Didn't eat at the hotel on this occasion.

The bed was very comfortable, bathroom was overall good. Staff were basically friendly and helpful. Breakfast buffet was one of the better examples in our travels - the place was not overcrowded, staff were attentive and nice. Obviously, the location of the hotel is excellent. However, there were a few details that let down the hotel overall. For example, on the floor we were in one of the walls was stripped bare and appeared to be in need for some kind of repair. But there was no evidence that this was actually happening. Basically, given the reputation and pice of the hotel these kind of details do matter. Having stayed at the Singapore Intercontinental I can see that the quality is not consistent across every country. That is an issue. However, overall, it was certainly one of the best places we stayed at.

This place was awesome, we got treated like royalty from start to finish! The room was amazing, walk in shower, huge comfy bed. Everything from drawing the curtains to lights was controlled by a touch pad.We were lucky enough to have pre- dinner drinks in the lounge then enjoying an outstanding beef medallion and MORE cocktails for dinner. We had full use of the pool, spa etc.. very relaxing. Part of our room we had complimentary breakfast in the club lounge. They had everything you could possibly imagine. The hospitality was definitely 5 star! We can't wait to stay there again.

Loved my stay. Arrived well before the check in the of 3pm with a broken toe! Staff were lovely and immediately checked me in. The room was fine albeit a wee bit tired. However, the most comfortable hot bed I've ever slept in more than made up as did the good quality towels, toiletries and the tea (delicious). Because of my foot issue I had Room Service each night. Great food, arrived hot and on time. Will be my go to accommodation when next in the city.

Great nights sleep and large rooms. Only negative is an absolutely archaic internet policy - $25 per day, which has a totally undisclosed fair use policy attached to it. After watching Netflix and having Dropbox running, I was subjected to two additional charges of $25 in a 24hr period. There are no terms of this policy until you actually exhaust the allowance. It's ridiculous that in this day and age the Intercontinental doesn't offer free wifi or at a nominal cost, but the ridiculous fair use policy really only shows the place's disconnect from today's business needs. I disputed the charges successfully at check out, but this should never have been an issue.
