I was disappointed with the cleanliness of the room in particular the bathroom. There was mould in the bathroom the shower curtain was brown on the edges and curtains in the room were hanging down. We stay at intercontinentals as we know the standard is always good but was disappointed with this one.

Very good service, very friendly staff. Hotel is well situated, close to lots of restaurants and shops. Nice gym and pool if you want to work out. Rooms are very well kept by housekeeping. Hotel also have a bar and restaurant although it is a bit pricey.

Well placed on Grey St, you can walk easily to the harbour, shops and restuarants. Staff helpful and friendly. Had an executive room which was quite spacious with king size bed. Bathroom good with large walk-in shower, no bath. Room very clean, and housekeeping was immaculate. Room had a privacy or make-up my room button activated inside. Free wifi, and had good coverage and speed within our room. Iron & ironing board within the room. Only had bar snacks within the hotel lobby, service was good. Can't comment on other food. Not a cheap hotel, but you get what you pay for: a level of certainty and comfort.

Great accommodation. Nice and clean. Good location, walking distance. Breakfast was really good, great selection of good. Reasonable room price but totally worth it. felt very welcome and would be happy to recommend.

I stayed at this hotel while attending a conference. All staff were friendly and helpful from the get go. The radio in the room has a Bluetooth connection and I enjoyed playing my Spotify list from time to time! The provision of an iron and ironing board for the room was very much appreciated. There is a fantastic range of delicious food for breakfast. The bed in particular was very comfortable. The hotel is centrally located and close to the waterfront.

I would recommend the Intercontinental Wellington to anyone looking to stay in a high class hotel. The employees are very friendly and helpful. The entertainment is great. The food taste good.Thank you

The location was in the middle of town and close to the quay which was great. The room was lovely and a comfy bed. Excellent wifi. Helpful staff. The stream of water in the shower was very poor, disappointing for such a smart hotel. The service at breakfast was very slow with many breakfast items running out and not being replaced, even though it was early into the breakfast service time. We had a meal at the 2 Grey restaurant which was excellent.

My wife and I stayed for two nights, 9 & 14 March 2018. We are Platinum Ambassador members so stay in Intercontinental throughout the world. This on is situated in a good location, within the city, good views of sea from higher floors, and a easy walk to Te Papa. On arrival on first night, no one was available to park the car so had to drive down car park myself as there were other cars waiting behind us. I parked where I could which ended up being wrong area. One of the staff eventually parked car in correct place. There was no dedicated valet service. It was the Concierge that was having to do too many things which was cause of problem. I suggest management review this. Check-in first night was fast and efficient. Our room upgrade was nice and we were given a bowl of fruit. Our second night on the 14th, check-in wasn't as good and we weren't acknowledged as Platinum Ambassador members, weren't given a room upgrade, nor were we given a bowl of fruit. The room wasn't as nice and we had view of office building. Breakfast buffet very nice and had what we required. Restaurant staff very good.

Great room can be bit noisy with guests closing doors but still quite at night. Bed nice not hard. Great bathroom. What makes it more friendly is there staff greeted really warmly. Took hire car parked for us. And took bags and up to room so all you did was sign in. I'm always asking any staff for thing's no matter what they'll always talk like ya friend's. If had change to do this again I'll definitely be back

Some hotels make you feel special from the moment you enter and the Intercontinental Wellington is one of those. Yes we are Platinum guests but as we know well that does not always guarantee the best experience. Here, the red carpet experience was exceptional. From check in to the club service to the concierge team, every aspect was flawless. Want to commend Nick in the club who was a wonderful host and full of wonderful insights about the city and NZ. The hotel is also located in the center of town and close to the harbor so everything is within reach. Highly recommend and want to extend our compliments to the management.
