Maid service didn't happen daily. Kitchen was kind of sparce.

We felt right at home and location is perfect! Traveling as a family and bedrooms are amazing

Bedrooms were very hot, patio furniture was dirty. Parking lot one block away.

This a a really nice three star hotel with the advantages of being right downtown and also having two bedroom suites, effectively small apartments. These are really nice for families with a small kitchen but only one bathroom. Hard to find the small entry and the facilities are a bit dated but all in all a good experience. The bar/restaurant on the first floor has decent food and overall a good experience.

Great location; friendly staff in both the hotel and bar.

Pleasantly surprised when we got here; large room with kitchen, and nice view from balcony. Hotel is close to inner harbor, with a nice neighborhood of coffee shops, grocery, rest. shops, etc. Room is also unique with modern art on walls that was part of the collection of the original owner. There is also an attached brewer pub with great beer and good food.

The 2-bedroom suite was very clean and comfortable. The bedrooms were upstairs and the bathroom was on the lower level. The stairs were a bit narrow and steep so we left our luggage on the main floor and brought up only what we needed for sleeping. One bedroom had no windows but it had a skylight that opened for fresh air that worked well for ventilation. The beds were very comfortable. We did not use the kitchen but it looked well kept and functional. There was a good sized "living room" that was comfortable with large windows and plenty of places to sit. Best of all was the location of this hotel - close to the bus line (inexpensive public transportation to and from the Buchart Gardens and the Swartz Bayferry from Vancouver), China Town, the Empress Hotel, the ferry (to Port Angeles, WA), many good restaurants, etc.

It's situated right in the heart of downtown and a block from Chinatown. The room was clean and spacious and the staff most helpful. Having a pub and restaurant right downstairs is helpful and the food is good and the beer is great. If you like to walk, this is your best spot!

We stayed for 4 nights during new year's celebrations in Victoria

Great location, quaint building and interesting history. But you must be able to handle inconveniences, (stairs, poor lighting, difficult loading and unloading.) But we are in our 70's and enjoyed the hotel and restaurant and will stay again on our next trip to Victoria.
