Royal Scot Hotel & Suites

Great location - walking distance to many attractions.

We booked our rooms back in July- 2rooms for 2 couples. When we arrived, one couple was assigned a room on the first floor, the other the 3rd floor. When asked at check-in we were told that was what was available (arrived in October). The 3rd floor room had a balcony and the first floor room nothing except a window. The rooms should have been in proximity of each other and comparable.

The studio suite was ok for 3 people as it had a queen bed and fold out couch. No tv in the bedroom partition.

Check-in staff was curt. Offered shuttle service if someone was available. Most times no one was available or had long wait. Restaurant mgr got his panties in a wad because I lifted a cover of chafing dish to see what was being served at buffet. "Concierge" performed double duty as gift shop attendant and wasn't very well versed in answering my travel questions (was most concerned about leaving at 5.) Bed was comfortable. Shower was great. No paper towels in kitchenette. NO AC!!

The hotel is only 5 minutes walk to the inner harbour. We got upgrade from to 2 bed room. Room is located in a quiet location. We will consider to come back next time.

The hotel is close to many of the points of interest in the town. The shuttle, a free service, will drop you off and pick you up anywhere in town. The staff was friendly and accommodating.

I was looking for a place near the harbor and downtown. This was the perfect place for me. It was unassuming, clean, comfortable and quiet. I wasn't looking for a great view or hotel amenities and didn't want to pay for them so this was the right choice. I left some items in the room, they were found by the housekeeping staff and returned to me, thank you!

We have stayed here before and the hotel was as nice as always. Very convenient for walking over to the central part of Victoria.

Hotel staff was wonderful and so helpful. Hotel was so close to inner bay area and great resturants. We walked almost our whole time even though we had our car. Clean rooms and spacious. Would stay there again and again.

The hotel more than met our expectations. Yes, it's a bit of a flashback in time design wise, but everything was super clean and comfortable. Very roomy suite!

Great location. Mot reasonably rice gift shop on planet Earth! The restaraunt ,however, is owned by someone else and the staff was standoffish and unaccomodating.

Enjoyed staying here with friends. Location is great, off the beaten path on a sort of side street, but close enough to city center to walk every where. Staff was friendly and free apples were appreciated!

I recently stayed here with my mom and everything was good! Excellent location!! Room was big, clean and comfortable. Staff was nice.

Nice clean hotel conveniently located to all the sites in downtown Victoria, steps away from the legislative building. Great for families!

The hotel is quite comfortable. We had a balcony that was pleasant on a warm evening. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful (there was a bowl of apples at the check-in counter-nice). The hotel is located well to visit the harbor, parliament and BC museum. Price was good too.

Fast trip. All was in order when I got there. Nice complimentary breakfast. Good location to downtown. Nothing bad to say.

Very tidy and clean as you drive up and reception was engaging and welcoming. Perfect location for walking to the inner harbour and downtown. For the money, the room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Overall nicely decorated. We would definately stay at the Royal Scot again.

Best Value with proximity to Victoria attractions, apples at the desk, pool table, pool swimming, inviting and practical gift shop. Just like home with a few added amenities.

I wish I could take our Royal Scot room with us - it had all the space, tranquil environment, and amenities that we appreciate when traveling. Located just a block away from sites and bays, we certainly enjoyed our stay. It should be noted that no breakfast is included, nor is parking, so with other good hotels in the area that are not significantly more expensive, it may be worthwhile to compare hotels before booking.

The Royal Scot was absolutely adorable. A few reviews have mentioned a bit dated and I do agree; however, we thought it provided great charm. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. It was my mother's birthday and the staff helped in seeing that flowers were delivered to the hotel for her special occassion. I will definitely stay again if my travel takes me back to Victoria....
